Katakuri vs Doflamingo (Grace Period)

katakuri wins due to much better and stronger haki. they're both just as versatile, katakuri was matching/ besting g4 snakeman in speed by utilizing his observation haki and even tagged him. doffy was capable of fighting g4 uffy whilst taking a lot of hit and still being able to fight. parasite might lot work on

strength/ speed = katakuri

dura = doffy

versatility = both

haki game = katakuri by a large margin
 
I'm wondering if their awakening cancels eachother out and does nothing to the environment, or makes a jumbles mess of Mochi-String. Either way, I don't see it being a determinant factor.

Katakuri's Kenbunshoku Haki is superior, but there's always the possibility that Doflamingo's can develop throughout an intense fight since a less experienced Haki wielder (Luffy) could do so. Busoshoku is up in the air as both are seen superior to Base Luffy by a massive degree, easily breaking his guard several times. Haoshoku goes to Doflamingo for a superior display in control and usage in conjunction with his physical strikes and busoshoku.

Doflamingo's got the stamina advantage. Katakuri's Body Control would allow him to subtly dodge attacks more easily, but Doflamingo has cloning, flight, and Parasito (assuming it works properly. Even if Katakuri can remove it via body control, all Doffy needs is a moment to get a decent hit in).

Katakuri's Regenerationn is useless if he is struck by Haki, which Doflamingo can apply to his DF and body with ease.

Doflamingo's threads are also hard to see individually, as shown when he very casually caught Smoker, Sanji, and Law by surprise. And yes, Katakuri is susceptible to this--he didn't notice Flambe's silent needle.

Overall, Katakuri is superior on the offense, but Doflamingo is superior on the defense, and he's got incredible endurance compared to Katakuri, who began flagging from a stab-wound to his side whereas Doflamingo got through all of his organs (presumably) exploding. Doflamingo's got more variety and range as well.

Doflamingo High-diffs Katakuri. Either way, Luffy would have never defeated either of them without outside assistance... (Katakuri weakening himself and fighting Luffy honorably post-Flambe, and Doflamingo having to muscle through half-assed healing from injuries that would have killed him in minutes, and fighting off all of the Coliseum fighters)

Katakuri fought for hours after stabbing himself in the side, but against Base Luffy, who is repeatedly proven earlier in the fight to be far weaker than him, and the chapter "12:05" showed how Katakuri was struggling to maintain an edge over Luffy the entire time.

Doflamingo was also proven to be far stronger than Base Luffy, as he basically 1-shot KO'd him in their first fight, and threw him aside in their 2nd fight, but after he got hit by Gamma Knife + Jet Stamp + Counter Shock in quick succession (the first BLOWING UP his organs), he muscled through numerous blows from Luffy and still defeated him with relative ease despite being in a state where walking was visibly difficult for him at the time. He still wrecked Luffy in a single chapter that occurred over a few minutes before Luffy went Bound-Man.

Katakuri was moderately injured, Doflamingo was fatally injured. Not to mention he got wrapped in sea-stone a mere few minutes after he and Luffy passed out. Had everything been left alone, it's within reason to assume Doflamingo could have woken up LONG before Luffy did and continued repairing himself.

Not to mention Doflamingo beat Luffy in a battle of attrition and only lost in the end due to outside assistance from Corrida Coliseum fighters distracting him long enough for Luffy to get his 10 minute nap.
 
I will say Katakuri for similar reasons above.

You can honestly argue Katakuri has better Haki then even Luffy, which not even Doflamingo could readily pierce.

Almost everytime Luffy used his haki in base, he still got injured

Also, yes, I am assuming Katakuri has the better stamina for the same reasons above.

If insta killing injuries or fatal blows were an issue in one piece stamina wise, I can name a list of characters who would have kicked the bucket in the series before they passed out from exhaustion.
 
wait he could maybe use moochi clones too. To be serious tho Dogtooth has better haki and speed. HE can see into the future which Doffy can not which is very useful since doffy attacks are mid range and long range
 
Can I give some input?

Haki? Katakuri wins in 2 of the 3.

AP? Katakuri hands down.

Dura? Katakuri's haki makes his dura comparable if not higher than doffy's.

Speed? Katakuri's precog makes him able to dodge anything Doflamingo can dish out if he is focused.

Stamina? Imma say inconclusive overall. Katakuri can avoid being hit by turning parts of his body into mochi, tho.

Range? Doflamingo

Mobility? Doflamingo

Versatility? Incon.

Overall? I'd say Katakuri mid-diffs.
 
Uh... Katakuri can only "Copy" the abilities of the Gomu Gomu no mi because they're both basically the same. The Mochi-Mochi is simply superior in every aspect.

The inaccuracies in this thread, though :)
 
Katakuri of course, Luffy was curbstomping Doffy while G4 was active, while against Katakuri they were equal. Katakuri even manage to score some really good hit on G4 Luffy. It was even technically a tie, since Katakuri decided he really didn't want to fight anymore, just kind of lost the will and let himself fall first.
 
u mean how i bring legit reasoning while some people say Katakuri can copy Doflamingo's abilities, make clones (no he can't), among other things.

I'm being trolled :p
 
I vote Dofi because once Dofi puts a string on Katakuri's spine he's done for. Yes, Katakuri is stronger and faster (don't know how much, havent watched that far yet), but Dofi's versatility and hax would give him the edge in my opinion. Besides, Katakuri's fighting style is similar to Luffy's, which didn't go well for Luffy untill he went Gear 4. Dofi wins.

Pick one because pure strength breaks out of Parasito

IE: Luffy broke out with just gear fourth.

Also, his observation haki will probably allow him to dodge parasito as well.
