  • Michael and The Beast are both their respective 9-C versions (Michael is H20)
  • Winner is by death or incapacitation
  • The Beast has his lantern and Michael has a woodcutter ax

What does MM have that keeps The Beast from turning him into an Edelwood tree? Of course it would take a while, but unless MM Blows out the lantern, the beast could eventually turn him into just a tree.

Does the Beast carry the lantern around with him, or is it just wherever? I'm not going to try and pretend that Michael might find a way to turn off the lantern, but I am curious.
 
Without prior knowledge, why would Michael ever go after The Beast's lantern? That's like coming up to someone to kill them, but instead he stabs their flashlight. It doesn't make too much sense for him to try to do anything with the lanturn himself, so he gets blocked by the Beast's Immortality because he can't kill him without getting rid of the lanturn.
