Why do Aquaman and the other members of the Justice League scale to the Karathen?

The Karathen is listed as High 6-C, as are Wonder Woman, Pre-Amp Superman, and numerous others. Superman and Wonder Woman scale to Aquaman who scales to the Karathen, but why would Aquaman scale to the Karathen? The Karathen casually destroyed Aquaman with a single tentacle (https://youtu.be/n5oU87KT0rE?t=73 ), why would he scale to the Karathen when the Karathen is so clearly more powerful than Aquaman.

Edit: Changed the premise of the question. Originally I asked why Aquaman scaled above the Karathen, which he doesn't :/.

Aquaman is High 6-C himself.

He's likely higher with the Trident of Atlantis. He himself doesn't scale above it. Only the Trident does.

His durability scales since he can survive multiple hits from it without getting killed.

Since the likes of Superman and Wonder Woman can harm him with there attacks their AP would be around his durability which is High 6-C.

However looking at the video I can't tell if Karathen is even trying.

Yeah, the Karathen is presented throughout the film as a force of nature that no one can touch, since as soon as the Karathen appears on the battlefield, nothing stands a chance of stopping it. Not Orm, not Nereus, not Mera, not even Arthur can come close to damaging the Karathen, yet all of them scale to it.

Not to mention that the Karathen's High 6-C rating comes from its full body plowing through the Earth, whereas here it's simply effortlessly slapping Aquaman around with one tentacle.

Well we are currently in going through the forum move so revisions are on hold.

However you can still massage people listed in the supports section of the DC_Extended_Universe and ask them to give there input. Maybe they know more about the scaling that could clear things up.

Arthur survives several strikes from the Karathen, Orm survives one himself and Atlanna is mentioned to have fought the Karathen but lost.

It's also consistent with Zeus' Island feat

I guess we can continue this since we have debated that Karathen's full-body KE should not scale to her regular strikes. So High 6-C won't scale to anyone but Karathen. The only feats we got so far to scale them off of is Zeus' Island creation feat or the moon destruction feat that Zack Snyder mentioned.

I'm not that big of an expert on the films, but Griffin makes sense to me.

Yeah I can live with a downgrade

I think we have a few feats to work with though Idk how many are calced

They either get downgraded to Zeus' Mountain level feat or upgraded to Multi-Continental level if we take Zack Snyder's Krypton's moon destruction statement into consideration.

They seem to have had a discussion that didn't even mention any members and went on with the change without permission.

Well there’s feats including

* Superman and the World Enginr

* Steppenwolf volcano

* Atlantis which may or may not backscale to the League

Though I doubt anyone scale to it since the magazine article that talked about Steppenwolf vs Doomsday was a scrapped idea from the script.

Maybe, but we don't know how if the Steppenwolf that fought Doomsday = the Steppenwolf who fought the Justice League. First, we don't know how big the time gap between these fights is. Second, the article says that the Steppenwolf that fought the Justice League is old and tried, so then he might not even be in his prime while fighting the JL.

Though this could mean 3 keys.
Doomsday fight | First Invasion | Second Invasion

Not really
That's referring to his personality in th JL film (When Snyder was directing) which was motivated by a deep fatigue in serving Darkseid, it's not a statement of his power waning over time

Well thaat's the thing

The feat was overtly a reference to the comics where alelgedly Doomsday shatters Krypton's moon (Not sure if he was tho) so it's arguably just an easter egg and not a serious indication of this character's power and even then

It's way above every other feat they scale to. The very best next feat that we've quantified is the Tectonic Plate which is just about baseline Country level

The calc KLOL did for the moon is on the higher end of Multi-Continental (I think about 20 Exatons) which obviously isn't something that lines up considering no feat comes close to that (Hell I doubt the Atlantis sinking is anywhere near that)

Indeed
I feel the best feat we have rn is the Atlantis bust (Hopefully Black Adam gives us some wild feats)
