What type of intangibility, or hax is this?

There is 3 characters for this. They will be A, B, and C.

Character A is somewhere in hiding, and he is sealed away. However, his power has been leaking out. It leaked out enough that he can now generate Non- Corporal, intangible forms of himself. He is using this other form of himself to try and escape. Chacter B scales to character C as they are equal. Character C has been shown to destroy photon particles. Character B has been shown to affect Spirutal beings, and other Non- Corporal beings. When Character B fights Character A. All his attacks are not connecting, or making it through. Until he used a weapon made by another, and different character entirely that was designed to affect beings like him.

If Character B can destroy photon particles and destroy spirits, and other non- corporal beings, yet his attacks went through Character A.

What type of intangibility is this? Or rather what type of ability/hax is this?

Well if character A is higher dimensional, it seems to me that the reason character B couldn't hurt his manifestations is because they are in a higher dimension than himself. And only when he got this specific weapon that worked on a higher dimensional being that they went through. At least that's what I got out of this.

That make sense, but there is a specific person in the lower Dimensions that he needs to help unseal him. He needs to lower his Dimensionality to interact with them so he can kidnap him.

Well I don't know the context, but it might just be PIS and/or authors not understand dimensions properly. That's why Ultima wanted to redo our Dimensional Tiering, it would help with situations like these.

The weapon was needed to be capable of harming him. Oddly enough, the weapon was created by character A and used against him. But higher Dimensional intangibility could be possible

This just sounds like an NPI scaling chain.

It happens in fiction.

For example, in the series Bleach, there are intangible beings known as Pluses. To Pluses, an object known as Reiraku or Spirit Ribbons are invisible and intangible to them, Shinigami are able to touch and see these ribbons.

There is a character in Bleach named Lille Barro who possess an ability called "X-Axis", which always him to become intangible to Shinigami.


As you can see, there is a scaling chain of intangibility, and that is what I believe exists in your example as well.

If he is naturally non-corporal, then yeah.

He's not phasing, nor is he becoming an element.

And it's just that he is using the essence of his power to manifest a pseudo form. All that is known is character B can destroy photon particles, and destroy the soul and other non- corporal beings. Yet, his attacks didn't connect or harm Character A until he pulled out a special weapon.

I guess it could be an extreme tier of immaterial

Well, if it is non-corporal, then it isn't intangible.

But if the guy can destroy ghosts, which are non-corporeal, and can't touch the manifestations, then it is just a higher level of non-corporeality.

Non-corporals don't naturally possess a physical form.

They could be beings made of energy, of concepts or of abstract ideas.

Someone who has intangability, has a physical form, but makes it not physical.
