ALTERNATE TITLE: THE TUNNEL DWELLERS
@Comiphorous suggested a ton of creatures from Pressure. About time I get to it, might even throw the players at these guys as this does also feel fitting.
Also, time to start a new plotline! Because while this is a pretty fitting MU, I'm not sure how else I can write it other than as an introduction to the new mansion's ecology
● ------------------------------------- ●
With the state of the mansion's denizens approaching upon the Trapped Realm, it had become a noticeable threat. Being directly affected, Walter has agreed to be the one to deal with this problem. While his reasoning seemed obvious, that being to retrieve family, there were other benefits. Mainly to gain favor with the new "ruler" and avoid any conflict escalation. They already had a lot on their plates after all.
"We're currently unsure of how this mansion affects your position in the multiverse. But we should be able to lock it in with ours so you'll come back here if you die. Try not to do that, though. We can't send you back until all of you are back here," a researcher explained as Walter clicked the pin on his shirt. Members of his empire were beginning to pass through the portal in the room, forming a proper perimeter with a surprising lack of deaths for the time being. Once the explanation was finished and his crew had entered the mansion, it was just him and a particular visitor that came over the day Carrie disappeared.
"You're doing this for yourself, are you?" Wednesday asked in her usual tone.
"I'm pretty good at it," Walter replied, suspecting little from the teenager before him.
It was only then did he notice the severed hand on her shoulder and particular chip in its grasp. Before he could react, it shoved the two into the portal after a nod from the delinquent. The portal closed right after, leaving them stranded for the moment, much to Walter's annoyance. "Guess you're stuck here with us now," he commented before noticing a henchman calling for him.
"The whole place is clear, except for that wall over there. As well as a couple holes on the ceiling," the henchman pointed out at a bulging crack on the wall as well as the holes.
"And we should probably just steer clear from them in case-" before Walter could finish, dust bursted from the drywall as two creatures locked in battle fell out.
"That happens. Everyone to the exit, now!" As the people begun to move, one of them was tripped over by the malleable creature's flailing before the armless humanoid spewed out a torrent of liquid. The henchman was liquefied in a matter of seconds, setting the tone of this expedition.
It was not going to be easy.
