Some of you may have grown up watching one or the other. Either way, both characters have inspired cinema to what it is today in their own special way.

In the Left Hand Corner we have James Bond, the Swarve British Spy

In the Right Hand Corner, we have Indiana Jones, the World's Best Archaeologist

Both at 9-C

Both have a single hand gun and prior knowledge

Takes place in a small Egyptian Town

Speed Equalised

James Bond: 3 (Mr. Redic, Crimson Azoth, Jackythejack)

Indiana Jones: 1 (Zark)

Inconclusive/Tie: 0

NOTE: While IJ has only athlete level Durability, both only have a gun in which both have shown to survive bullets before. Obviously Bond one shots physically and if it comes to that so be it, but to be fairer, they start on the opposite sides of town.

Hm, they're both good shots, and even one bullet wound could be debilitating enough to let the other guy win even though they could survive it. If it were something like an open field, I'd say inconclusive, but since it's a town with streets and buildings and whatnot there's a far likelier chance for Bond to get in close to Indy and lay the smackdown on him.

Gonna vote for Bond.

More Bond matches. Where would we be without them?

I'm gonna vote for James via a debatable skill advantage, which is really the major difference they have

even though I like IJ more

Crimson. When I was first here and decided to make a James Bond match, there was a loss against 47, and two inactive fights from like 11 months apart from each other

Now it's spam hahaha so I'll take it

Anyway vote counted. By yeah even though I personally prefer JB, IJ is so awesome. I watched Raiders of the Lost Ark again yesterday and it was so amazing

Actually, could Indy whip away Bond's gun from him?
Indiana Jones Whip Disarm
Egyptian streets are very cluttered and populated so it isn't like Bond's range advantage helps, since it's out of character for him to shoot wildly into the crowd, and Jones can disarm Bond then fry him with bullets

Bond won't shoot wildly. He's a super good marksman, and if he shoots at Indy, you'd kinda have money on him hitting.

No, but in a crowd, if Bond have a regular firearm at ground level, would he be able to hit a single person without harming rest with guarantee? Doesn't seem very protagonistic and spylike to have collateral damage.I'd assume Bond will still risk getting in whip range to shoot Jones

I doubt Indy will use the whip in a crowded street as well. He only ever uses it when it's a 1v1 because he doesn't want to risk the whip hitting innocent people

And Yes, Bond does risk that. The opening scene from Skyfall he goes for the shot in a crowded street and doesn't hit a single innocent civilian

Nah, Jones isn't exactly as caring as that. He is cocky about his skills enough that he believes he won't hit anyone. In the movies I don't remember him ever thinking about collateral damage as much. I'll vote for Jones for the disarm alone, as well as somewhat comparable skills

I agree that Jones is cocky enough to throw his whip, but isn't Bond just as likely to back his skills? Yes, trained super spy, no collateral damage, but as TheArsenal said, at the start of Skyfall, he took the shot. He took the risk of hitting someone, and didn't hit any innocents. Tell me, how is that different from this situation?

I mean, there is the fact Bond won't go into the street and even if he does, he'll make sure he's surrounded by people. If he is looking for Jones, he'll know either to hide in a building or be surrounded by people, he won't get singled out, on the ground, against someone with a gun and whip

No spy or trained man would think that isolating yourself is a good idea against a trained man, he'd stay with a lot of people or hide in the building and either try and sniper Indy from a distance or blast him when he walks in

Oh and also, there is no way someone as heavily trained as Hond is gonna stare there and get disarmed. Once he's in firing range, he's gonna shoot and literally every single time Indy get shot at he runs away.

He only disarms when either the opponent isnt firing or it's sornthig like a sword or knife. Even that GIF shows a blade and not a gun
