Sometimes, being a martial arts master or a spell-weaving sorcerer just isn't in the cards. Sometimes, one cannot succeed without the use of their trusty equipment. And today, we have ourselves a battle between two jacks-of-all-trades who excel in using their vast plethora of weapons to their fullest. One is a resistance fighter hiding in the shadows to help save the world from calamity, while the other is a loner who seeks to undo the effects of the Calamity that had already come. Who will win? Today, we find out!

In the blue corner, we have Whisper the Wolf from the Sonic IDW comics, and in the red corner, we have The Kid from Bastion.

• This is a battle to the death or incapacitation, no holds barred.
• Neither character are aware of each other beforehand, and there is no prep time.
• Neither character are allowed any outside help.
• This battle takes place in Green Hill Zone, giving Whisper the home-field advantage.
• Speed is equalized.

Whisper always starts with a ranged attack, unless she has her enemy in front of her, she would start with Cyan Laser or Red Burst.

How does kid fight against characters at a distance?

Answering that question can probably help with this discussion

Fair enough.

The Kid does tend to be a mixed fighter when in comes to combat. While he does have his assortment of melee weapons, such as his blade and hammer, he also carries a good bit of ranged weapons like a crossbow, a long bow, and a number of various firearms. And if someone is taking pot-shots at him, it's only logical that he would subsequently take cover and return fire with his ranged options, as opposed to running up with his melee weapons.

So the answer is he'd probably shoot at Whisper with one of his ranged weapons, particularly if she starts shooting first, but he would likely open fire anyway.

Got asked to comment on this again. Sorry to say that Whisper was downgraded to 8-B with the most recent IDW CRT, making the difference in AP around 10x. Womp wah
