You can go ahead, but let me tell you why it would make no sense.

D4C's main attacking ability is the ability to pull an alternate universe version of the opponent into the main universe. The summoned version gets pulled towards the real one and they fuse into nothingness (Armstrong + Armstrong = 0) which ignores durability. If you disable this, then nothing exactly would happen to the now two Armstrongs (except maybe they get stuck to each other).
