I'll wait on the 2-B but the speed additions I do agree with here

agree with the fighters being from separate worlds, but where do the 136 spirits come from? Other than that it looks really good.

Agree 100% with the 2-B stuff and generally in favor of immeasurable speed.

Also, another piece of evidence for Galeem affecting the whole multiverse is that the WoL map is seemingly made out of bits and pieces from various characters’ home universes, implying they were taken apart or copied by Galeem to form the new world.

Tbh it can also be just him copying these like he did with the fighters.

Well, the reason why Galeem was able to copy the fighters into puppets was because they all got hit by the light. Which also eventually included Kirby due to him getting close enough and Galeem getting enough information to recreate him.

So, it should logically stand to reason that Galeem’s light would’ve at least had to get close to, if not fully enveloping, all of the locations/universes seen on the map to recreate them like this.

True... I should include that in OP then.

(Though, I feel like there's something in Smash that implies that all language versions of the scripts are canon, but maybe I'm thinking of Pokemon instead).
I think there can be a hint as Lifelight's lyrics were checked from Sakurai for both English and Japanese, and Palutena's Guidance has some differences between JP and EN (like when Pit learns about the parallel worlds in JP he's calm, while in EN he freaks out).

I know this isn't strong evidence, but it can be a path, yes.

Edit: Never ******* mind as he didn't translate that and we all know Sakurai is ass at English.

They come from the other series that don't have fighters in Ultimate
Ah then I agree on the fighters but disagree on the unique spirits. Since they directly said those fighters came from different universes while the opposite is not the case for spirits. Still 2-B and the rest are solid though.

Occam's razor would say that different series = different universe by default given the evidence, and we have even Sakurai himself saying that both Spirits and Fighters come from all different game worlds.

There's no reason to say that the Monster Hunter and Golden Sun spirits come from the same universe, as that'd be just absurd.

Actually, here’s an interesting question:

Should we always count different series as taking place in their own singular universes? I say this because Smash treats the Mario, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, and Wario series separately from each other despite all of them taking place in the same universe. That, and the fact certain series have their own alt worlds and such that are referenced in Smash. (For example, the Paper Mario universe, which is shown to be separate from the main Mario universe, and is constantly shown in Smash via trophies and spirits.)

I think we should take each series more case-by-case to see wether or not they are their own individual universe, and also to see if there’s any other universes from that series referenced in Smash.

Well, the DK/WarioWare series mention Mario, Yoshi has Baby Mario/Bowser in the trophies, so... yah.

Regardless saying for example that saying that there's a chance of Pokémon and Solid Snake coexisting in the same universe is just silly however.

And I agree with you.

Obviously, Metal Gear and Pokémon are meant to take place in their own universes. I’m not claiming literally every series in Smash takes place in just one reality, it’d be ridiculous if that was the case. I just think we should pay more attention to what series we’re talking about to make sure we aren’t accidentally counting the same universe several times or if there’s any other universes within that series that would also count.

Agree with 2-B
Neutral on immeasurable. Silver and Baby Mario could have very well been in the present when they got snapped

Anyway, I think 2-B is fine. If any evidence comes out for 2-A, that's fine too.
I think I might have something for 2-A, actually.

I noticed that the English translation has wacky release dates compared to the JP one:
I think this is a strong indicator of both english and japanese being canon according to the makers of the game, so...

2-A is real!

2-C seems fine. I disagee with 2-B bedause the countless count seems baseless. It could easily be hundreds rather than countless. I agree with everything else.
Back on this, there are also the JP lyrics for LifeLight about eternity being a thing, with it being hinted with Ganondorf also reincarnating over and over infinitely, or Xerneas granting eternal life.

So even if 2-A is rejected, the cosmology would be 2-B still due to it being an infinitely expanding multiverse (similar to how Undertale is).

Fun! I think I agree for now, but let's see what the staff think.
