Just a natural reaction to finding out that Marvel is dicking around with the IG in its comics again. Nothing to think too hard about.
Anyway, I think Matt and Seed should say something here before this is accepted. They're our main Marvel Comics people, inasmuch as anyone is.

There's also Secret Wars where Doom implies that Thanos could beat him with the Gauntlet and Panther does fight him for a while with the IG

The UN was agreed to be High 1-B, as well as a few other unrelated things . IG is a tricky subject because while it could be upgraded , but then we'd have to determine how to effect the tiering because of the glaring flaw that only those with high levels of control over the gauntlet have High 1-B showings. Those w/ far less control only is up to 2-A. Same with the Ultimate Nullifier... So it's Unknown whether we should split into keys such as " Sufficient Control (Varies. From Low 2-C to 2-A) l Complete Control (High 1-B)" or just ignore the showings for the IG and simply label it a Outlier by Inconsistency of Writers.
