Too many of these Steven matches keep ending in "lol, forcefield, GG" or "lol, forcefield, stalemate", so lets try evening the odds a bit.

The battle takes place on the floating gem arena, both are 6-B, both are in character, but fighting with the aim to KO/kill, and the speed's unequal.

Steven:

Mukuro:

Heaven forbid, Inconclusive:

Steven's outdone here, poor kid. He's fighting someone with as much experience as the rest of the Crystal Gems with the leadership skills rivaling or even surpassing his mother's, but is more savage and can bypass his shields with her spatial manipulation which is her main form of attacking.

sooo, your solution to steven having shields is to fight someone who ignores them?
When sitting and stalling behind said shields have been all Steven's been doing lately, yes, it forces "him" to think outside the box and use more than a single ability.

too bad it's his only combal ability. what is he supposed to do here? float until the other guy dies from exhaustion?

Well, my personal disagreements with this fact aside, he greatly outspeeds Mukuro and can still rely on his physical strikes (at least in terms of throwing/ramming with the shield/spike bubble, as I'm doubtful his punches reflect this strength).
