Structuring our Digimon Files

So this is a pretty important topic as it will detail how Digimon Profiles will be set up henceforth.

Composite/Databook/Lore Files
As you know, Digimon files in general pull from all canon. However, they also detail just a member of said species. We should not call this a "Databook" or "Lore" profile/key, but simply a composite file/key.

What a composite key entails is this:

-Inherited Skills

-Skills shown by other members of it's species NOT given to it by special means (i.e not all Machinedramo can destroy concepts with the power of Apocalymo)

-Skills available to them from the games.

-Stats limited to what said species would scale to. (i.e Savers ShineGreymon may be 2-A, but a regular ShineGreymon is not and would stay 3-C)

Specific Digimo
This one applies for those who are anime specific characters like Digimon Adventure Piedmon or Myotismon. These files are the most restricted as they do follow the flow of the story.

-These files should not have abilities from the games and such. Only abilities they've shown and abilities mentioned in the Databook or shown as a native ability of their species unless they particularly appear in these games. (i.e Adventure Piedmon would still have Masks Square, but not Texture Blow).

-These files will also be a different key to the Composite file and will either be of a higher scaling chain or a stronger tier. They still do scale from our General Digimon scaling feats, but only in these versions can we get Multiversal Minomon.

The DiVision
These files will have a tabber division. One for their Composite variation and one for their specific media variation (if they have one).

Evolutionary Divisions
There will now also be a tabber to separate evolutionary stages. When making a match with Evolutionary Stages, sometimes it gets hard to tell who has what power. Ergo, we will also divide those up as well.

I will edit WarGreymon and Piedmon's files to show as an example of what I mean.

I belived all this needed is a final evaluations from the Editing Rules.

  • Before making sweeping or significant changes to characters or verse pages, please start a thread in the Content Revision forum first, so that the suggestions may be evaluated by the Staff and the community at large, to ensure that they are acceptable. I am not completely sure about @Cal's evaluation but I guess that he agree.

I agree with what was pointed out, at least as far as I could understand.

Although I think in certain cases, it is good to use different profiles so that a single profile is not polluted with much information even with different keys.

And I believe that in some cases, there is not much need to have composite profiles when most of a character's descriptions are of a single incarnation.

I mean, would we have a "composite" of Omegamon being that much of his descriptions are referring to the Royal Knight? I think this is a case that does not need a composite version.

Yeah, I just the specific ones. For Omegamon, there would be no need for separation. His file is technically already a "composite". Most faction characters are set. This more refers to regular Digimon moreso than the Top Tiers and such. See Piedmon's profile.

I do agree that profiles that don't separation should jeeo as normal and I believe this point is implied. Foe the truly needed cases, I agree with the prposed structures.

By the way, @Dragon, you message wall gliched today when I try posting messages :\. I would appreciated if you coukd cintack me on my message wall as I would like communicate for a possible solution :)

Note: This profile covers the stats for a general WarGreymon and his variations and forms. For a profile covering Taichi Yagami/Tai Kamiya's WarGryemo featured in the Digimon Adventure saga, see here: Agumon (Taichi Yagami). For the Agumon used by Masaru Daimon/Marcus Damon in the Digimon Saversseries, see here: Agumon (Masaru Daimon).

Small typo.

The Agumon, Gabumon, Guilmon, Impmon, Patamon, Renamon, Gatomon, Terriermon, Veemon, and Wormmon from Digimon Rumble Arena.

The Agumon, Biyomon, Agnimon, Gomamon, Gabumon, Gatomon, Guilmon, Palmon, Patamon, Tentomon, and Veemon from Digimon Rumble Arena 2.

The Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, Veemon, Wormmon, Agumon, Lopmon, Gabumon, Impmon, Patamon and Gatomon (added in 2) from Digimon Battle Spirit 1 & 1.5.

And the Agnimon, Lobomon, Kumamon, Kazemon, Beetlemon, Löwemon, EmperorGreymon and MagnaGarurumon are supposed to be the one from the Anime. Which part of that would account for the attacks they use in those games?

In those cases, they get those abilities seeing as it is specifically those characters.

I also have a general doubt that I have regarding the appearance of some characters in games like the crossover in Adventure PSP or Re: Digitize. I understand that we can consider powerscalling as an outlier, but what about the attacks that the characters use in the game?

For example, in Digimon World Re: Digitize the Metal Garurumon from Yamato is very often using the D.G Dimension 2 skill.
