(Spoilers) Pokémon: The Crown Tundra Discussion Thread

Yeah, we already tried with that, but we don't know the time frame or the size of the ocean, so it can't be calced.

time frame
It should take as long as the move itself.

Also:

"Zacian dashes through the battlefield to strike its enemies with the speed of a swift wind. Its graceful movements are beautiful to behold and have been compared to a dance. Zacian’s slashing attacks possess a speed that makes them impossible to see with the naked eye, and those hit by its blade are cut down before they can even feel pain from the blow."

The timeframe scales to the move.
We can probably average out the size of our world oceans to get a good estimate of the cut ocean considering it isn’t specified.

To summarised what Galar Uno gets:

*Illusion creation: Self explanatory.

*Teleportation: Self explanatory.

*Durability negation/limited matter manipulation: Stated on the official pokémon website that it's psychic powers work on a cellular level.

*Telepathy/homing attack: The move mind reader is literally described as reading the opponents mind and allows Cuno's next attack to never miss.

*Damage reduction: As well as creating a force-field, reflect also halves any physical damage Cuno takes.

*Weather manipulation: Via hurricane, should have comparable weather manipulation to its mainland counterpart.

*Damage Transferal(?): Via psycho shift, passes a status condition on to the opponent (tbh I don't know the best way to describe this ability).

*Possibly longevity/enhanced senses: There's no reason to assume it has a shortened life span compared to its mainland variant as well as diminished senses too (albeit this last addition I don't mind either way if it gets added or not).

*Also I believe Galarian Moltres' aura will be changed to empathetic/mind manipulation rather than soul manipulation going by the previous discussion.

Am I missing anything?
^Just making sure these suggestions don't get forgotten (has anyone directly contacted any staff yet?, since the "@" function only works for staff members).

I only saw one of them and somebody changed Necrozma's Page to 4-A, probably based on the video by AXIS I think his name was.

I'm not sure how much this is worth, but when Calyrex dynamaxes, their aura is blue. I think this is meant to imply that it's using it's own power rather than Eternatus'. There doesn't seem to be any less power than normal dynamaxing, so does Calyrex have the same power-spot creating abilities as Eternatus?

Sadly, we don’t have any evidence of that. I didnt even think that was implied. Until we get more solid evidence, we can’t do anything with it, as it’s head canon.

On a side note, it sounds like an interesting theory. I personally just thought it glowed Blue to set it apart from other Pokèmon, since the last ‘super special pokèmon’ we’d gotten was Gigantamax and this one got squat.

Makes sense. I'll try and see if there's anything official regarding it. On another note, I've compiled as many of Calyrex's abilities as I could. I might of missed or misinterpreted some though. If it turns out alright, I'll work on the other legendaries later on.

Calyrex: Mental Manipulation (Happens in the main story), Healing (Has the move Heal Pulse), Water Manipulation (Learns Life Dew which is described as "mysterious water", Energy Projection, Telekinesis (Psychic), Plant Manipulation (Various moves and dex entries), Precognition (Can "see all events from past to future", possible omnipresence or omniscience), Size Manipulation and Stat Boosting (Growth), Light Manipulation (Solar Beam) and Genius Intelligence

With TMs, TRs and tutors they also get: Barrier Creation and resistance to physical moves, status moves and special moves (Light Screen, reflect, safeguard), Weather Manipulation (Sunny Day), Danmaku (Swift), Power Restriction (Imprison), Sound Manipulation (Round), Fire, Ice and Electric manipulation (Tri Attack) and Teleportation (Ally Switch)

Also, regarding the meteor thing, I don't think it's implied that Calyrex destroyed the meteor. Since it mentions their precognition, I think it can be assumed that it helped the forest Pokemon avoid it.

We don't give mons access to moves that require trainer interference to learn such as: HMs/TMs/Tutor moves etc, only level up moves, egg moves and "certain" event moves are allowed iirc.

Also Calyrex (base) also has life-force absorption via its draining moves/leech seed, purification via aromatherapy, levitation (self-exploratory), status effect inducement via confuse and possibly non-physical interaction from being able to tame his ghostly steed (albeit I know NPI standards in the Pokémon verse are "complicated").

Naturally Calyrex (base) should have these resistances to: water, earth, electricity, plant and mind manipulation plus resistance to telekinesis and marital arts due his grass/psychic typing.

I think that about sums it up?

Things that say ‘Happen in the Main Story’ should also have More explanation. How’s anyone supposed to know how it works?

Kind of Disappointed on Calyrex’s Mind Manip. He’s got pretty baseline stuff, unless we scale him above people like Hypno or Beeheem, which I don’t see why we would- just being a legendary doesn’t mean he’s automatically better at everything.

We should also make separate keys for Calyrex. Calyrex at his weakest, and Calyrex at his strongest. This is because he clearly has stronger abilities in his prime- his Pokédex entry says he sees all events from past to future, but we know explicitly he doesn’t once he’s at his weakest, for example.

Calyrex's (prime) abilities can affect a 30km radius according to the statements on the official website, so at least there's some decent range also tbf a heavily weaken/diminished Calyrex (base) brain controlling a single NPC is nothing to be disappointed about imo.

Also Calyrex (base) still has precog via the move, future sight but ofc its nowhere near as potent as seeing all events from the past to the future that Calyrex (prime) has.

Thanks for the criticism on the Calyrex abilities. I was pretty sure about the trainer interaction thing, but I wasn't sure so I just included them separately. On a side note, here's Spectrier and Glastrier. I'll do the Regi Duo next.

Spectrier: Status Affliction (Confuse Ray), NPI (Ghost type), Darkness Manipulation (Shadow Ball), Stat Boosting (Agility), Power Restriction (Disable), Life Manipulation ("As it dashes through the night, Spectrier absorbs the life-force of sleeping creatures"), Enhanced Senses (It probes its surroundings with all its senses save one—it doesn't use its sense of sight.) and Soul Manipulation and potential Durability Negation (Spectrier's kicks are said to separate soul from body.) Also it's type gives it immunity to ki attacks, a resistance to poison and a weakness to darkness or ghost based moves.

Glastrier: Ice Manipulation, Stat Boosting (Iron Defence, Swords Dance), Ice type gives them resistance to ice attacks and a weakness to metal, fire, stone and fighting attacks and...That's it. Also apparently their ice is 100 times harder than diamond, but I don't think that counts for anything above the durability they'd have normally. I'm no good at calcs or anything though so I might be wrong.
