Slender Man (2018 Film) - Profile Rework

A few days ago I checked this profile, and noticed how poorly done it was, so I decided to rework it... and I had to watch that boring movie again.

This would be the new profile.

Changes:

  • I changed the current render to a render where you can see Slender Man's full body, I also added a picture of his tree form.
  • I added a quote.
  • I changed the summary a bit.
  • I added new abilities with scans, and I added scans for the abilities that were already in the profile.
  • I removed sound manipulation, because the few times he created any sound, they were either illusions or they were just dreams of Hallie.
  • I removed weather manipulation, because I didn't see Slender Man create fog at any point.
  • I removed type 1 immortality, because I didn't see anything in the movie that suggests he has it either.
  • I also removed possession and stat amplification for the same reasons.
  • Slendy is downgraded from 9-B to 9-C, he never topples a tree. However, he can dominate humans and smash windows.
  • The current profile says Slender Man's attack speed is "possibly Peak Human to Superhuman attack speed (Tendrils/Tentacles can rush average people before they react, even when they try to run)". This is another thing that was never seen in the movie, so I removed it.
  • The current profile says Slendy is Peak Human in LS... for dragging and overpowering humans. Peak Human for dragging people? Do normal people weigh 227 kg? I changed that to "At least Average Human".

And well, that would be it. I think.

I watched this movie a few weeks ago and noticed the profile just lied about him toppling a tree, lol

This looks amazing, BUT, shouldn't he get Large Size 0 for his true form? Wasn't he like 12 feet tall?
 
I don't think his tree form deserves a separate tier, since, well, it's just Slender Man in a different form. I don't think it's 9-B either, since his branches/limbs haven't demonstrated any remarkable feats beyond breaking windows.
 
Looks good overall, but I have some doubts on Teleportation and Immortality.

The first might be sort of obvious as he falls within the category of monsters appearing and vanishing as they please, but all his perception and invisibility shenanigans might play a role in it. The scene displays him stretching out of a corridor, instead of directly appearing from nowhere, so it might be more a body control-like feat for him getting into extremely narrow passages.

The justification given for Immortality doesn't imply he survives thanks to the spreading of his myth, but rather than it compels people from all over the world to keep looking for him and so allowing him to start stalking them once they perform the summoning. In short, people knowing him and being infected by his psycho virus grants him more jobs, rather than keeping him alive.

The Intelligence section could elaborate more, he deserves at least an average for the clever usage of his powers and the evergoing network of manipulation that he keeps afloat.
 
Type 1 immortality or at least longevity would make sense since he was stated to be existing since a very long time and you can also see pictures from him from medieval area (the der Ritter picture)
 
Makes sense, better Longevity though, a character needs explicit evidences of being impervious to the passage of time, even if they are billions of years old.

Well, that wasn't really the reason I put that scene as teleportation, but because later Wren tries to escape through different hallways and Slender always appears ahead to prevent her escape.

Other things that could be teleportation (and that I previously forgot to add) are these:

I guess this makes sense. So, I guess I should do this.

  • I should remove immortality.
  • I should add more justifications for teleportation.
  • I should add the hallway feat to his body control.
  • I should add to his intelligence something like "At least Average (He uses his powers intelligently and makes sure that his existence is spread through the victims he leaves alive)"

I didn't add anything about Der Ritter because it wasn't explicitly stated that he was Slender Man, just that he was related to the Shadow People or something.

This kind of stuff is problematic, because the original mythos are already a loose canon of sparse information, and in the movie they are treated as urban legends (which is also what they are irl), we don't know which pieces they consider nor which are already reliable for the actual monster.
It's safer to simply go with what the movie clearly shows and tells us.

Saman's complaints appear valid, although I personally find teleportation to be strongly enough implied to be included- I'll accept his suggestions to the profile, and I see little else in need of changing. Good work, overall.
 
The changes have been applied. Thanks to those who paid attention to this thread, despite how hated this version of spaghettiman is. This can be closed now.
