no, they don't need to be blood, they need to just be narratively at least.

for example, I wouldn't count Naruto despite him saying Sasuke is like a brother because Narratively they are not siblings they are rivals.

In Turn, Asta would be valid because while they are not blood-related and they are rivals, Narratively they are treated as siblings consistently while also being raised together by the same person.
