Please report any rule violations in this thread. Notifying us of such incidents is highly appreciated.

Additionally, kindly report any sockpuppets that you come across.

Only report violations regarding the wiki rules. False reports due to personal vendettas are unacceptable.

Also, this thread should be for reporting actual rule-breaking, not every single little disagreement.

In cases of extreme vandalism or trolling, you can report the accounts at the VSTF wiki.

If blocked members create sockpuppet accounts to circumvent their block repetitively, or several are created at almost the same time, you may contact the Fandom Staff, to politely request permanent range IP blocks.

You can also find specific users with the Search Function by typing with the format: "User:Username"

Remember to inform members via their message walls if that you have reported them here, in case they have performed severe enough rule-violations to risk being blocked. However, this should only be used in uncertain cases, not if they have done something instantly ban worthy, or if their offenses are minor.

It is against the Fandom rules to upload any offensive images to the wiki, so in order to show screencapture evidence of extremely bad behaviour, you must use external sites, such as Gyazo or Imgur, in order to not get globally banned yourself by the higher-ups:

Do not derail the Rule Violation Threads with irrelevant nonsense or internal disputes. It is solely for making serious, warranted reports of violations of the Site, Discussio, and Editing Rules, and not for discussion or side comments. Such posts should preferably be removed by the staff, and if a member continues to derail after being repeatedly told to stop, this will result in a temporary ban.

It is also best to report extreme serial-sockpuppet accounts directly to the Fandom Staff.

I'm going to repost this, as the first time I posted it Cryo's flaming sort of became the main focus and wasn't adressed.

I have chatbanned TheFourthEmpire for a week, however I would like to bring the issue here as to determine if the chatban should be longer, or if this should translate to a punishment on the site.

They asked if they could talk about a Visual Novel they were writing, and mentioned it had erotic content. I said no, claimed that the type of content makes me uncomfortable, before they posted it anyways. I cited the Chat Rules and gave them an official warning, and they continued to post content after that.

It had already got him banned from another place, too, so he was fully aware of what he was doing and of the consequences. Personally it came off as trolling, as they knew I was not comfortable with it, and posted it anyways.
 
Hykuu seems to have used extremely crude and disrespectful language while harrassing ProfessorLord in the chat. For how long do you think that we should ban him?

I have also noticed logs of very extreme insults from Savion Dean and Jackass the movie the game that were stopped by the abuse filter.

A very strict warning might be enough for TheFourthEmpire, with a ban if he continues, although his username may be a reference to Nazism, so I am not certain.

It is a reference to nazism. Many Rule Violations ago I brought it up when he first showed up in chat.

While I cannot post links, I will say I've seen roughly similar behavior from Hykuu in chat before, with the usual excusing being that the insults are non-serious, which imo isn't an excuse in itself.

Considering the harassment I'd say several months is enough, but that's just my opinion.

(EDIT) After going over what he said to Prof, I suggest somewhere between half a year and a year. That was just messed up.
 
I'd like to point out this was a couple different instances, not in the same day.

As in he harassed me one day and no admin was on so I just left. I came back a few days later starting a discussion and then he continued with the non-stop insults, even after me and others were pleading with him.

That is all I wanted to say, since it's not obvious just by looking at it.

EDIT: Are all bans by default, IP bans or no?

Okay. You can ban TheFourthEmpire for a period of time that you feel is appropriate then, and also tell him that he needs to change his username.

I am not certain if reporting Savion Dean and Jackass the movie the game to Fandom for log entries is a good idea, as this might inspire their staff to start banning otherwise well-behaved people that were stopped by the abuse filter as well, and preventing that from happening is the main point of having a filter in the first place.

We should ban them ourselves though.

Yeah, at the least. That's just repetitive harassment, through and through.
 
After rechecking the log entries, only "Jackass the movie the game" used extreme slur insults, whereas Savion Dean strictly used very offensive language. Jackass was already permanently banned, and I blocked Savion for 3 months.
