Game animations and toon force aren't quite the same, even though the effects are similar sometimes.
Games are actually treated as main material, afaik, and have priority over anime and manga.
But I'm fine with Haunter neing able to create bombs, but I wouldn't say the same for Pikachu or, I don't know, Pineco, and ghost types have supernatural powers and often to such things, like psychic types.
I didn't say they shouldn't have it because they didn't display every form, I said they don't consistently show to possess toon force and being affected by things always in the same manner, but as I said I can accept a limited toon force, given that they show to have it sometimes in the anime, but it shouldn't be assumed that it's always present and works always the same.
The Pokémon dropping on the other is right, the flattening isn't, that's just a way to show the damage being dealt.
