Not on the level of kamui which is space-time manip and dimensional based. Not just spatial manip.
Do you think if speed wasn't equalized it would be less of a stomp for Obito?
To tell you the truth, i'm not 100% certain if Kamui requires Obito to react to attacks, if not then it's a stomp in Whitebeard favor. Either way, it's a stomp regardless of sides.
Once wano kuni arc is done, the high tiers will probably be upgraded to FTL since a few high tier characters scale to Kaido like Whitebeard, Big mom and Shanks.

Kaido is FTL, because he blitzed Wano Luffy, whose observation haki is far stronger than Sabaody Luffy who called pacifista's laser beams too slow. Unlike Katakuri, Cracker and Doflamingo, Luffy outright stated that Kaido is too fast for him even with his advanced observation haki (which is an active future sight)
The laser beams are accepted as natural light and LS attacks here, considering multiple databooks confirmed that Kizaru's attacks travel at LS. In the manga version, not only did luffy called the laser beams too slow he blitzed the pacifista and the laser beam simultaneously (Luffy is REL+ already). Anyways, when Luffy calls something too slow, he really mean it, considering he is really bad at lying and is rather the type person to say everything out loud, even embarrassing things and insults.
This is a different case. Normally you are right, but it differs from verse to verse, you can't say this logic applies to every fictional verse, a few or most yeah, but not all.
Whitebeard resists Blackbeard's which is dimensional in nature, so he still resists.
