You know, [UNDISCLOSED], Indiana may be probably the worst place to live on planet Earth. It's seen what was basically a zombie apocalypse and an ensuing military occupation, a long string of missing children, the mysterious destruction of an ice factory, and a lot of things like that, but at least it doesn't have a dream manipulating pedophile and serial killer walking around murdering kids and teenagers for ***** and giggles.

(Dream World) Freddy is in [UNDISCLOSED], doing what he does best, and one way or another, John and Dave are called in to deal with the issue. They start this awake; this isn't a head-on fight, it's a prolonged conflict where John and Dave have the opportunity to gather information and use the equipment scattered across their two respective abodes, as well as across [UNDISCLOSED] in general, to deal with the threat and protect themselves.

They probably get killed in the explosion from a 5-mile wide meteorite that has a vengeance against [UNDISCLOSED], Indiana for murdering it's child. If that likely scenario doesn't happen, Freddy probably wins via Necronomicon.

This is Dream World Freddy, no Necronomicon, and whatever meteor you're talking about would almost certainly be diverted by either the Blowback sphere given that [UNDISCLOSED] is an extremely important location for a global conspiracy and several cosmic, eldritch horrors, or avoided given the potential use of Soy Sauce.
