The current stats for Nier Automata come from A2 surving a point blank nuclear bomb explosion which destroyed a mountain, it was calced at mostly mountain. 2B, 9S, Adam, etc all scale to an outlier which was performed by A2.

Everyone is scaled to this one feat because they can harm A2, or are comparable. Not only this, but 2B and 9S used a Black Box reaction as a last resort attack to kill multiple engels , in which they died as a result. The same Black Box denotation was used by A2 to destroy the mountain (where the feat happens can be read here ).

So everyone in the verse should be downgraded, unless another calc happens at some point to put them there.

Yeah, why is this an outlier? There's a 6-A feat within the verse. 7-A isn't at all far fetched.

Whoah Whoah 6A?

I knew about Low 6B but 6A?

There's also the fact that the explosion didn't kill 2B and 9S, there Black Boxes did as they require them to live, blowing their own boxes up causes that. Not the explosion

I mean, if we consider the fact that 2B and 9S have never had another feat greater or equal than this one, yeah.

But in a verse with tier 6 feats, this is not outlier.

Again by the way

It's the fact that their source of what keeps them alive self destructing that killed them

Not the explosion itself

The OP hasn't given any reason why it was an outlier beyond that either.

This is actually a legitimate outlier lol.

Yeah the verse has higher feats but not comparable to these guys. What they do have is relatively consistent lower-end feats (like being able to take down Engels, who have like Tier 8 swinging strength).

Let's list off some facts.

1. Yes, the verse has higher feats, but not scaleable to the Androids of Yorha.

2. Yes, this feat is impressive, just likely an outlier unless we get another scaleable feat on this level since the Yorha androids have showings of 9-A to somewhere in Tier 8.

3. No, they cannot regularly tank stuff like Black Box destruction since it just auto-destroys their body.

Am I missing things?

Bumping since this makes me more prone to thinking this could have some legitimacy

There are several comparable feats in the series. 9S surviving a nuclear explosion, emil destroying a city, Adam creating a city. There is no need to call this an outlier feat if it does not contradict anything in the lore.

1. 9S did not survive any point blank nuclear explosion. It is a well known fact by now that even being a meter away from the epicenter reduces durability required to tank it down to about 1/16th of net energy.

2. Emil doesn't quite scale as that was in his old form.

3. Adam's city never appeared city in size, nor do we have a timeframe for it.

He was quite literally riding said nuclear missile. That's pretty point blank.

Also Emil's town destroying feat was High 8-C+. The town was only like, 56 or so meters long. Then again, tech in Automata seems to be significantly more advanced, so maybe that scales?

Then I just forgot that, been awhile since I played so that's my bad.

I wouldn't think tech scales directly to magic which IIRC is pretty exclusively what Emil uses.

1- How not if he was on the side of the bomb?

2- The city level busting feat scale to nier and kainé, which by extension scale to androids.

3- you are right, but that looks like a small town though

"city busting" was already High 8-C, since it was more of a village

and the timeframe for Adam's is still an issue, it never said "he willed it into existence" or "created it immediately"

it just said "he made a city"

a team of bulldozers aren't 7-B

Yeah, it was my mistake. But how was the 9S feat calculated?

if a downgrade occurs, I think town level + would be more accuarate, since none of the feats required much of the characters. for example, 9S survived the blast virtually intact and he is not even a combat model.

If 7-C is considered valid I might go so far as to drop the downgrade. Where is 9S's nuke feat from btw? I don't remember the stuff.

Gargoyle, more like Ninja'd

Ah, yes, Grun on 9S. I remember hating that.

"Virtually intact" isn't the best term. More like "Dying because it destroyed him mostly, and it was practically assumed he was dead and through some means he wasn't totally annihilated". It would also be notable to say that not all nuclear warheads are 7-C by default and in this case it'd be a bit shaky.

Higher End Tomahawks do, however many standard issue tomahawks like those on the Seawolf are meant for ship interception, those do not.

Even then they are literally the weakest nukes I can think of barring older ones

Still probably not the best example

@Mr. Bambu

He was alive when 2b saved him, much of his damage came from the fact that Adam stabbed him several times.

you also have to take into account also that the nuke exploded inside the grun, so much of the explosion was condensed.

...and being exploded by a nuke. It's pretty easily observable that the commander didn't have huge hopes for his survival for that.

Sure, but if it had not been for Adam he would probably have recovered quickly since his body state showed no damage from the explosion. Many things were happening at that time, commander pessimism was not only because of 9S sacrifice.

But that was a part of it. The fact of the matter is 9S survives the explosion to some extent and was thought to be dead, as well as the next time we actually see him he's practically destroyed. Just saying, it isn't a solid feat by any means.

Of course it's a solid feat, the nuke exploded in his face and he survived. What more evidence do you want?

Everyone thoughts does not even matter, so I do not know why you're focusing on it.

And like I said, he was nearly dead because Adam badly injured him

https://youtu.be/yHfyVSX_uAU?t=530 (8:49)

He survived within an inch of his life from a nuke of unknown power and the explosion occurs out of view.

Comparable androids following the Grun fight were found on the shores in near death. We don't know what Adam did other than crucify him- for all we know he may have constantly healed/revived him only to harm him more. Hence why this isn't exactly solid ground.

So I'm demanding the calculations and according to a user here it was calculated for 6-C.

Claiming that Adam healed him just to torture him will only cause a burden of proof to fall on you, since nothing implies that. And if you play with 9S will make it clear that he survived since his system was still active.

The other androids may have died from various means.
