New Characters. Lots of them.

I have read Sandman: Overture, and boy does it add alot of special things in the verse.

Firstly, we have The Glory. An old man who metes out the rules of the universe.

Secondly, we have Dusk, an implied estranged sister of The Endless who works with Mother Night.

Lastly, we have star beings who managed to seal Dream. What do you think of this?

Also, I remeber the existence of a unknown Vertigo one-shot which involved some blue deity (is bearded, not Dr Manhattan), who is called like the God of Nothingness.

In the regular Sandman, there is also Ramiel and Duma, people who handle Lucifer's gates when Lucifer is gone, and Lucifer's two assistants, Azazel and Beelzebub, albeit those two were eventually sealed by Dream.

Then there is Fenris in Lucifer, who harmed Lucifer and Michael greatly.

So many characters XD.
