Didn't expect someone to still answer here. It may be easter egg/reference like you said or maybe Cthulhu Mythos is just another fiction in Umineko.

As Wokistan said, even if its the real Necronomicon we woudnt scale them of their original feats but the feats the present in the actual story. This goes for all cameos, crossovers and mentions.
