unlike Vegeta, Goku's hakai is incomplete, he doesn't lead with it (even in bloodlust, vegeta is more likely to use his hakai first than goku) and seems to have a very short range
It still has a short range, while Vegeta can perform it as an AoE attack or like an aura

bad comparison, Gas was superior to Goku at all times but he lacks to handle Goku's level of technique, goku only wins via skill.

Hmm, why don't you wait to UI come back out? May be Goku got a zenkai after healing, unlike Vegeta, so if both are recovered after that battle the Ap will be like the same.
