Ok, to start. The movie wasn't terrible. I enjoyed it, besides the weird stuff with Toomes. That was weird. Onto the real part. Warning: this is a long CRT. There is a lot of reading.
The separation of him with Artificial Blood vs him on Real Blood. Where in the hell does this come from? I watched the movie yesterday, and I haven't seen this stated, or even implied, literally anywhere. Morbius did not fail against Milo because Milo was on real blood and he wasn't. Morbius failed because he was hesitant to use his powers. He was focused on curing himself and finding a way to convince Milo he was wrong, and they shouldn't be the way they are. He was holding back. He literally figured out Flight because he wasn't going to fight Milo. He never really 1 on 1 full-out fought Milo.
Also, the way the keys are is currently horrendous. "Base/With Artificial Blood | Transformed/With Real Blood" He is superhuman whether or not he is transformed. It is never even implied he is weaker when he's not looking like a bat. He just looks like a bat when he uses his powers. To fly, he looked like a bat, for some of his bigger abilities, like controlling the vampire bats, he looks like a bat. But for echolocation? Or just bringing out the claws? He doesn't look like a bat. Look at the scene with Vulture. He literally does both of these at the same time and doesn't look like a bat. It's not a transformation that boosts his strength. He just visually looks different when he uses his powers. His strength does not change. Additionally, this key format implies he can't transform when he's on artificial blood. Which... is wrong. Because he was on artificial blood before he drank Bancroft's blood. he did not get stronger from doing such, it was literally just Milo making Morbius accept what he was.
The only statement in the entire film that says anything is different between artificial blood and red blood on the vampires, is that when they're on Red Blood they have the primal urge to kill and hunt. Morbius never says there's any difference between how he is when he's on blue vs red. Just that Blue doesn't hold him over for as long, and is slowly losing effectiveness when it comes to hunger. Not anything to do with his powers or his strength. It's like being on good food vs fast food. One just doesn't work as well nutrient-wise because it's of a lower quality.
Also, they never really fight. Michael and Milo somewhat fight when Michael busts out, but Michael didn't want to fight him. He was holding back and ran when Milo came at him in the subway, because he was trying to convince Milo that it was wrong. The only time one of them really, seriously, lands a blow on the other that seriously messes them up is when Milo tackles him out of the air with his flight, which Michael DID NOT SEE COMING, and slammed him through the ground. He was fighting dirty, so obviously he was going to have an upper hand on Michael when they actually tried to fight. They don't really exchange blows any other times. The only instance of one of them really overpowering the other was Michael using his animal manipulation on Milo.
