Leviathan (Parahumans) vs. Mandarin (Marvel Comics)

Dragon Seed Saga Mandarin used, speed equalized. Battle takes place in the Valley of the Sleeping Dragon.

Leviathan greatly upscales from 4.44 tons

Mandarin upscales from 7.98 tons

Leviathan actually uses a different feat. A partially powered up Lung has a 4.7 ton feat, and a fully powered Lung is equal to Leviathan.

Anyways, Mandarin seems to be stomped. Leviathan's durability is wack and regens. I know absolute zero was floated over on discord, but I don't think that really works here.
  • If AZ is taken as a heat transfer focused thing, Behemoth tanking Phir Se's nearly 6-A thing is a far greater feat of sustaining heat change than lowering room temperature to absolute zero. I believe tanking Sundancer's suns and Legend's laser beams would also entail a greater degree of heat transfer.
  • If it's instead taken as a matter thing, it's noted that deeper layers of endbringer matter don't make any sense, and as a result the matter manip nanothorns failed against them. All the way down at the core even spatial manip just doesn't work.
  • Absolute Zero, even if it worked, doesn't really have a reason to kill Leviathan. He doesn't have any traditional biology. The totality of an endbringer's body besides its core is extraneous, and we don't have reason to believe that lowering the temperature of the core would kill it as it lacks the normal biological functions that fail at low temperatures.
  • Things don't really stay absolute zero when brought down there. Things especially do not stay absolute zero when they're fighting in a place that's ostensibly an arizona analogue and Leviathan has his own personal hurricane that floats around that he can use to add heat back to a frozen body.
  • Leviathan is big. The scan only shows this applying to a human sized target.
  • In that same scan, lets note that Tony survives this and apparently isn't even hurt. From that we can come to one of two conclusions:
    • He only froze the armor, which is even worse for having any hope at freezing leviathan
    • The stated temperature of absolute zero is inaccurate, since tony's blood vessels are alright, which throws the entire thing out the window
All in all, this isn't really a workable option. Other things I saw floated around were sound manip and mind manipulation. Neither of these should work either.
  • Leviathan still has High 6-A dura with regards to sound manipulation. Despite sound behaving atypically, it's ultimately still force. Air pressure alterations. He has no High 6-A AP, so there's no killing this High 6-A via sound. Even if you wanted to argue weird pass through the body and shake organs stuff, Leviathan doesn't really have any to shake.
  • As for mind manip, there's a lot of problems. Here's the feat.
    • Only shown to work on humans, which Leviathan is blatantly not
    • Leviathan isn't actually capable of killing itself
    • Being close enough to Leviathan that commands would be audible over the noise of a literal hurricane probably entails being nanothorn'd
    • Only shown to work on something that's alive, which Leviathan is also not
    • Master powers don't really work on Endbringers as is, even certain ones that focus on controlling shards like Goddess
So what are we left with then? We're left with a fight that has the mandarin put up against an indestructible foe who can outlast him easily (The Simurgh was prepared to wait for another entity to come back to earth, which would take billions of tears or something) who also gradually ramps up in threat level over time (flooding, water pressure build up) who has a potentially fatal touch (nanothorn fins) and can heal any damage that can be done to it with no real cost. Leviathan was literally built for attrition, and this has turned into a battle of attrition. I don't see a win for the mandarin here.
