Maui vs thanos

Don't have much opinion right now, since I haven't analyzed the two very much, currently.

I’m unsure if it matters, but Maui is missing a lot of his abilities based on some of the things he can shapeshift into.

Thanos likely has far better battle prowess, but Maui still has methods that could combat the Mad Titan, and is definitely more versatile and has better environmental control than Thanos. Not voting yet.

Maui likely stomps due to AP.

Thanos downscales from the Infinity Gauntlet, which is 5 Gigatons. So a 20 Gigaton character could kill him pretty quickly

Oh in that case then yeah, this is a stomp. If this is base Thanos we’re talking about, he has no way of countering Maui’s attacks and AP here especially since he purely relies on his physique & endurance in this form.

If it makes it fair, I'd argue only giving him the Power Stone which will mean both combatants can one-shot. Providing the Space Stone will mean Thanos can create 5-A durability forcefields, something Maui has no way of countering.

Offensive wise,, the power stone should be somewhat comparable to/greater than Thanos physically. The space stone has some useful hax such as black holes, intangibility/fusionism, and could potentially oneshot. The reality stone is the best thing he has as Thanos could just transmute Maui as he easily can do on Nowhere.

Defensive wise, Thanos has the reality stone as his best option, Maui may break a power stone forcefield due to him being around 4x stronger. Absorption, intangibility, or turning it into a black hole may work as well.
