Lateral Line Organs in Fish

Hey there. So, I was recently informed by ArmorChompy about something concerning fish while debating whether a household fish or some pest would win in a battle and, well, this was basically the deal.:

"Anyway, uh, rat fra, though the Goldfish does have the Lateral Line organs, which are things that sense movements in the currents. I think all fish have it, which is weird, cause I don't see anything of the sort in the powers section."

Since this applies to all fish, I gotta ask, what exactly would this ability be or relate to?

But aren't lateral line senses just a different find of normal senses? Extrasensory implies the supernatural is afoot in all fish.

It might qualify as Enhanced Senses, but that's just my guess. I don't know of any land creatures that can do that.

Anyway uh, I should mention that a shark's ability to sense electrical fields IS considered extrasensory perception, so maybe a fish's lateral line should be the same.
