Kaku vs Deep Sea King (GRACE)

Kaku has beaten one of Genos's opponents so here's another. Base Sea King.

Speed Equalized, SBA.

Fish:

Giraffe: 7

What's different in this matchup?

What does DSK have to put up a better fight than AG?

He scales above 113.9 KT instead of arguably scaling slightly below it.

He's got regen. Also SBA is central park right? Isn't there a lake there? He can use that to his advantage.

DSK also seems to be a far more competent fighter. And has some ranged options with his acid spit.

More competent than an agent trained by the Government to be part of a special squad of assassins?

Press X.

Isn't Kaku 7-C+ and DSK High 7-C? And Zoro is rated at High 7-C for one shotting Kaku? Unless Asura is further into High 7-C than Deep Sea King. And regen makes it hard for Kaku to whittle him down slowly while dodging each and every attack. What's Kaku's win condition with the regen in place? Going for the head? If so, would he have enough AP to cleanly/easily do so?

Kaku is already border-line High 7-C in Base. He's stronger in Zoan form. They should be about equal since Kaku scales > Base Zoro, who proved to be physically stronger than Base Kaku.

So >>95KT vs ~>113.9KT, hardly a difference.

In close quarters, Kaku easily holds the advantage due to his Rokushiki and combat training. The only thing he has to worry about is the Acid spit, which would bypass his Tekkai defense. However, Kaku has many abilities at his disposal, and would prevail eventually because, quite frankly, the only thing the Deep Sea King has going for him is a lower tier regen and acid spit which would not work a second time (predictability).

Soru boosts movement speed. Geppou grants flight. Rankyaku grants cutting projectiles. Kami-e grants increased evasion. Tekkai grants higher durability (he can tank his own attacks). Shigan boosts his attack power.

The only answer the DSK has for any of these is that he can withstand attacks due to durability and regen, but there's nothing (outside of acid spit) that can prevail against any of these abilities.

Kaku takes this mid-difficulty.

I seriously doubt Kaku is going to let the fight get anywhere near the water for 2 reasons: 1) Kaku is fully aware that being submerged in water = his instant defeat, and 2) It's pretty blatant in appearance and ability that the DSK is more suited in the water--and Fishmen do exist in Kaku's verse, and as a long-term agent of CP9, which is an intelligence branch, Kaku is at least familiar with Fishmen's physiology. I highly doubt Kaku will ever let DSK get anywhere near the water just by the fact he would suspect him to be a fishman, or if the DSK does get near the water, Kaku will battle very defensively until he finds an opening.

Also, who is G4?

DSK can still power himself up in water. His regen is also much faster in water. He can just take a dip.

G4 is a giant robot with a big ass sword that transforms into a smaller robot with Danmaku laser spam.

I know that DSK can power up with water, but it is a temporary thing when he is emerged on land. Kaku will absolutely not go near the water as a Devil Fruit user, so he'll steer clear until DSK re-engages. The best thing DSK can pull off is a long-term game, but Kaku will either kill him by then, or make sure DSK can not utilize the water at every opportunity he chooses to.

Outcomes:

a) Kaku eliminates DSK after some time of engaging without allowing DSK to get to the water/DSK not choosing to go to the water until too late. Since Kaku matches flat stats and his abilities grant him serious boosts that would put him above the competition, this is very likely.

  • Even if DSK gets desperate and tries to run at the water, you'd think Kaku would recognize this, use Soru to cut him off, then kick him away from the source of water.
b) Kaku is forced to remain on the defense upon DSK using water to temporarily boost his power and speed, but still holds a solid edge in regards to literally everything except for flat stats. so he will eventually take him out due to DSK's boost via water only being temporary, and Kaku being unlikely to allow him to submerge in water again for another boost.

c) DSK surprises Kaku with water, overpowers him quickly and submerges him.

  • Low chance due to previously noted reasons.
