Anyway I think they're mostly relative but it seems Jason is more skilled in fighting knife fighters

Jason is seemingly more skilled and his weapon naturally grants him more range in close combat. If Jeff attempted to throw his knife, he'd just waste it seeing as Jason can easily handle it.
