just curious if Jaune can beat Pyrrha now...

Except maybe his Aura might give him an advantage. Remeber when she unlocked it? All the damage that Cardin had done to him, while not arguabbly alot, was completely gone. Combined with the fact that his semblence has been unlocked...

Jaune is a Cleric trying to be a Warrior... while mostly tanking.

Vote is Pyrrah.
 
Could Pyrrha's skill and semblance be enough to take out someone who could take her out in just a few hits?

Jaune already has quite a large advantage in terms of raw power, and can amp himself even more with his semblance, and I think he even has a speed edge as well

Plus he has better everything in terms of aura, including stat amp, regen, defence, and his moves from Grimm Eclipse also give him amps as well
 
Pyrrha's Semblance renders Jaune's weapon moot. Leaving him with nothing but his wits and Aura.

Pyrrha low-mid diff due to his aura.
 
Yeah, she disarms him and batters him around like a sturdy ragdoll.
 
But uh that's not going to do much to him anyway. It's going to take a whole lot of chip damage to bring him down.
 
You're right, though that would mean she has to be really patient to wear him down.
 
I mean I think she'll be too exhausted to actually fight him properly before doing any real damage to him.
 
Then it's a bit of a mismatch ain't it? She'd already be winded while Jaune's aura is only scrateched.
 
It's a mismatch, Jaune's aura will soak up most pf Pyrrha's attack before she tires herself up then Jaune's lands the killing blow.

I didn't think the AP gap was THAT wide

plus I thought that her semblance would probably help her more than Jaune's will help him.
 
Guys!!! The fact of the mattter is that Pyrrha still takes the win. For one thing is that she still has the greater experience. It doesn't matter if you change the battlefield.

Jaune, as cool a guy he is, still doesn't have the skill needed to take someone of Pyrrah's level down.
 
Lets see,

Aura: We can see that 2/3 Good hits can deplete ones aura (with average aura). We know jaunes semblance is aura amplification not invulnerability like tock. A good amount of hits will deplete him.

Skill: Base cinder toyed with jaune in V5. Casual Cinder with maiden power Got slammed onto the ground and got caught in a headlock against pyrrha.

Physical Power: we havent seen jaune use his semblance to fight by himself yet. But in V5, he coudlnt even push cinder back while pyrrha headlocked her. Cinder needed maiden powers to get free. Even if we consider grimm arm. At the very least they are on par.

Dedicing factor: Its polarity of course. Pyrrhas semblance is too much in rwby world. Also, Jaune uses body armor too. She slamed him once, tore penny and almost caught cinder who had no metal on her.

Unless jaune can just sit there taking everything pyrrha has to offer until she runs out he shoudnt win. Tho that would mean he can beat Blake and Ren with ease. Since those 2 should have less fire power compared to pyrrha due to the nature of their semblance.

So pyrrha should win. IMO, among the main cast, SE ruby, Maybe Weiss with her giant, Nora when charged and probably Yang can win against her. The other 3 still looks weaker.
 
Depends on if Pyrrha's skill and Semblance can allow her to eventually take down Jaune or if Jaune manages to tank her attacks long enough to beat her with his greater strength. They'd most likely be holding back against each other, and so they might try to just fight until either one of them's too exhausted to keep going. Jaune has the better Aura, but Pyrrha has the better experience. Undecided for now.

Even if Jaune at this point has the raw stats to theoretically wound Pyrrha, once you factor in that they're both 'shield warriors' who fight with similar weapons except she has a lifetime of martial arts training and has literary taught Jaune everything he knows about fighting you'll see that he doesn't stand a chance.

-if both of them fight cautiously: mid-difficulty Pyrrha

Jaune's weapon won't be able to touch her while she slowly chips away at his aura with minimal semblance use.

-if they go all out: low-difficulty Pyrrha

Jaune charges with his weapon in two-handed mode like he did at Cinder, Pyrrha repels the attack with magnetism to make him trip and fall, once he's down she pins him to the ground by just pushing on his chest plate really hard with her semblance. Afterwards she could probably end the fight in one blow by throwing her rocket-spear into his stomach, alternatively she could go rifle mode and headshot him a few times from basically point blank range. GG my golden boy.

er... Jaune's AP is comparable to Ruby's and Yang's, who are apparantly borderline 8A. So Jaune is approaching 100 tons

Pyrrha scales to Mercury, who can casually tank 1.4 tons

So Jaune can just strip down and punch her into paste
