Jaune Arc vs Gazef Stronoff

Seriously Gazef has dura negging sword, slash spam, stat amps for everything and Sense Weakness. Need any more be said.

Blame Razor Edge tbh. It makes Aura's defensive properties completely useless and can harm a 6-C character with a poke. Jaune has far better AP (now rendered useless) but doesn't really have anything else to win. Maybe Gazef goes easy on him because he is a kid.

To be fair, Jaune is over four times more powerful than Gazef, meaning a hit from Jaune would probably put down Gazef too.

That is, until you take into account the massive amount of stat amps Gazef can use, at which point, yeah, this is either a mismatch or very desisive.

Yeah, with the armor, he'd be more powerful than Clem w/out her best gear, who's more powerful than Hamuske, who's more powerful than Gazef w/out his best equipment, who's more powerful than Brain, who's more powerful than Gagaran, who's more powerful than Zero, who's more powerful than Zaryusu, who scales to a .22 Ton feat.

This is probably a mismatch, sorry. Maybe use base Gazef?

I'd argue base Gazeff would outskill Jaune to a massive degree and has a much better range.

That and he still has a large number of stat boosts, including speed boosts that could make Jaune hitting him really unlikely.

Maybe dont throw the most unskilled and helpless RWBY character against master swordsmen with actual powers

To be fair jaune isnt completaly helpless and has improved a lot sense volume 1, but i agree that puting him against someone as experienced as Gazef probably wasent the best idea, Jaune was just the first character that came to mind when i was trying to think of a good match up for Gazef.

His improvement is marked by a timeskip that also grants him a tier jump. Before the timeskip the extent of his combat ability is swinging wildly and hoping he hits something.

Gazef with his best equipment would probably be able to take out Post-Timeskip Yang, to be honest.

Speedboosts and Evasion take care of projectiles and he OHKOs Yang when she gets close.

Maybe a match against Ruby would be fair as both have speed boosts.
