So, in book 10 of Cradle, Reaper, there is a big battle between the Abidan Court and the Vroshir. This entire battle takes place during "one blink of a mortal eye." During the battle, one of the characters swings a chain so large that each link is the size of a star. This swing destroys a "series of uninhabited planets" before being stopped. My first thought on how to calculate this was to lowball the number of planets destroyed to three, using the distance between Mercury and Earth as the distance for the speed calc, with the time of a blink (1/3 s) as the time. Doing this, I got 2.33333 × 10^11 for the speed. Is there any better way of calcing this feat?
