the entire calc here being summarized for what could possibly upgrade the Injustice universe.
The feat in question: Supergirl's super move, where she takes her opponent and flies from Earth to the other side of the sun and blasts him/her back to Earth.
Calculation:
Since the first half of his calc is finding out how fast she flew from the Earth to the other side of the sun, which is a speed feat, I'm going to skip it since the AP calc comes right after.
https://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/math/speed-distance-time-calculator.php using this website to confirm the values used by the YouTuber. Looking at how long it took the opponent 5 seconds to get back to the surface of the Earth. The distance from the Sun to the Earth is 149,600,000 km. Plugging these 2 values into the S=D/T formula. We get 149,600,000/5 = 29,920,000 km/s which in km/h would be 107,712,000,000 km/h which also in turn would be 29,920,000,000.0024 m/s.
How powerful is this?
Before going into this, the energy output may vary for each character due to not all characters being in the same weight class, but just for the sake of the calc, we'll be using Batman's weight since that's the feat in the video and it works as the perfect mid-ball. According to the Injustice wiki, Batman weighs 95kg. Plugging this into the KE formula.
Using KE = 0.5 * mv^2 = 0.5 * 95 * (29,920,000,000.0024)^2 = 4.25 x 10^22 joules (Country Level) or 10.16 Terratons of TNT.
Now for the low-end: We can use the weight for Poison Ivy as she is the lightest character in the game with 52kg as per the wiki.
Low-end: 0.5 * mv^2 = 0.5 * 52 * (29,920,000,000.0024)^2 = 2.32 x 10^22 joules (Small Country Level)
For the high-end: The highest weight I could find is Darkseid with a weight of 825kg again as per the wiki.
High-end: 0.5 * mv^2 = 0.5 * 825 * (29,920,000,000.0024)^2 = 3.69 x 10^23 joules (Country Level) or just borderline (Large Country Level)
What do you guys think? Does it warrant an upgrade?
