If a tier 0 character gets defeated

If a character who was ranked as a tier 0 suddenly becomes defeated due to some plot device — where another high tiered (say a tier 1 character) by means of obtaining a device to defeat the tiered 0 character, does that automatically downgrade the tiered 0 character, or does it upgrade the tier 1 character?

I'll give an example.

A supreme creator is implied to be the be-all-end-all of a particular work of fiction. He's untouchable; beyond all dimensions, space and time. Everything comes from him.

Now, there's a tier 1 character who discovers a method to steal the power of the supreme tiered 0 character, and that tiered 1 character then "absorbs" the supreme tiered 0 character.

In general, how does this impact tiering?

And is this why TOAA was dropped from 0 to a 1-A?

Not necessarily, no.

Tier 0 doesn't actually have anything special compared to the other tiers, really, it's just a level of power at this point, so it isn't supposed to represent Omnipotence or any of that jazz. The thing is that characters who are at this level will more often than not be treated as All-Powerful, Unassailable entities in the context of their verse, but you don't have to do that, and in principle, could just as easily make a verse where Tier 0 characters are fodder.

Please, no. That shit is ridiculous. That's like a really, really bad toon force. LOL

Suggsverse is disallowed for other reasons.

Well, the thing with tier 0's is that. They can't be beaten, thats the point. If they can be beaten then we'd revise them below tier 0, like with alot of stuff from Demonbane, azathoth used to be tier 0 but was dropped down due to proof he can be beaten

That's not how tier 0 works any more, it's just like every other tier now, they can be beaten.

It means the character was never Tier 0 in the first place

Edit : I just realized this was a year back lmao. My bad

Umm, no. Azathoth and all of Demonbane got downgraded because the cosmology doesn't even reach 1-B, let alone the requierments for Azathoth to be tier 0.

it doesnt, it just means that the tier 1 is tier 0 now

no, it was due Marvel Cosmology, and tier 0 doesnt means unbeatable, it is just a tier like others, I can make a fishman who is tier 0
