Jaune, he has healing, Aura shield and also A tactical genius.

Healing and Low regen are nowhere near enough to save Jaune from getting mutilated with a chainsaw.

Also, Jaune has no ranged options whatsoever. Hoss has numerous.

Also, does anyone actually know the feat RWBY characters currently scale to? I found the profile that links to it, but the link leads to a Naruto Forums calc and...well, you know...

It's a 140 tons feat performed by BoS Ruby iirc

There's two, one of Ruby overpowering the Nevermore which has a MCB level feat and one of Weiss' ice attack, the later still works on her profile as its a blog here. There's supposedly a MCB feat for Penny melting a Bullhead somewhere but I can't find it...

Also the shock waves can only travel a dozen or so meters at the moment

So basically, Hoss still has offense and range, while Jaune has defense.

I actually know of where to find Grim's feat that Hoss scales to, but I'm pretty sure it hasn't been calc'd yet.
