Stomp? Sans just obliterates Resetti. Also speed isn't equal so Sans blitzes like crazy. Even if speed was equal, Resetti literally can't do anything to dodge Sans's attacks. Even if he somehow could get close enough to attack, Sans would just dodge like he did against Frisk, another character who can reset time and know exactly what Sans will do. And is there even anything saying Resetti can reset time after dying?

Okay, one point in Resetti's favor is he can retreat into his hole and dig, but... Ehhh???
The thing about Animal Crossing characters is they never actually... Fight. The worst you can expect a villager do is get mad at you. Having played Animal Crossing for the GCN back in the day, I can tell you that Mr. Resetti's "resets" are purely gotcha moments.
So yeah, I think Sans stop, mainly due to the lack of will to fight Animal Crossing characters got going on.
