He has better range and skill judging from Musashi thread (All of Guts feats for Golden Age/100 Years War apply here). Also better lifting strength to parry attacks, extreme luck, agility, analytical prediction, insane willpower and stamina, and enhanced senses.

Her sword also stuns people irrc,in the show it was capable of shocking the ground and stuff. Guts will be getting some hard hits from Gaen that he would likely take because of seinen stamina.

Also do all of those feats apply to early guts as well.

Well it's still a Guts who's far above his bear-killer stomping. So it shouldn't be a huge difference anyway. His skill feats still do apply, but from the war mainly, and his battle with 100 men.

Ye,Gaen shouldn’t be too far off in skill. She should be able to contend with him on fair ground.The AP gap helps here too.

It is 100% combat applicable. That intelligence alone turned one of the weakest aberrations into one able to defeat an incredibly experienced expert 20 times in a row without getting hit once.

If we are talking about fighting someone with experience, this Guts was on par with Nosferatu Zodd, who has around 300 years worth battlefield experience, and impressed him. It's an outlier in terms VS Battles AP (because Zodd is 8-A), but the skill is still a canon event, and Zodd was mightier physically than Guts.

I mean isn’t Zodd extremely powerful anyways? Most enemies that he would encounter would be fodder compared to him no. Most enemies Meme encounter were onpar with him.

He should also have memories of his previous life when he was a normal human, so he definitely fought enemies on par with him. And it's not like Apostles are invincible, armies still pose trouble, and that's pretty much what Zodd fights. Worth to note he's Skull Knight's rival, who also has way larger experience and was actually a pretty damn skilled human tactician once (King Gaiseric). (And it's not like you can't gain experience and skill with easily defeating enemies anyways)

If we follow the plot, he wasn't really 8-A, he was just much stronger than Guts.
