Equal Stats Army Tournament Round 1 Match 5. Ice Hounds vs Raiders

The raiders have access to various weapons from basic bats to laser weaponry. Honestly assuming even half of them have ranged weapons, I don’t see how this doesn’t end the hounds being filled with lead or covered in laser and plasma burns.

Oh there are a few things they can do

For one, upon death, they will freeze everything around them

But two, the most important part. Hounds passively emit a madness aura. While it's usually not combat applicable normally, in large swarms during battles that can last for a few days, it can actually kick in, the madness building it up swiftly so... Take that as you will

They would collectively drain 4000 sanity a minute and 66.66666666666… a second each kill removing 40 from the minute total don’t starve humans seem to average at 100 sanity and Berlin has an area of 891.7 km^2 and I have a feeling the raiders would try to strategize with the space between them and the hounds would just rush them as fast as they can.

honestly what the raiders do depends their leader. Do they have a specific leader or is this just a random group of raiders?

In that case I can see one of 2 things happening, either the raiders are able to use the starting distance to finish off a majority of the hounds and just barely make it by with a win or they are either too careless let too many hounds close the distance sealing their fate. I could see them trying to hold up in buildings and setting up various traps like land mines and grenades that drop from the ceiling if they get pushed to do so.

Yeah, Hounds are rather vulnerable to traps due to their habit of charging mindlessly

Due to the madness, I highly doubt there will be survivors to come back to tell what happened
