Do these attacks qualify as realistic light?

^^^

I'm not completely sure of the criteria, but based on what is stated on the page and what I've seen before:
Against
For
I've already asked @Qawsedf234 and he seemed to agree with the "Against" points

they only seem to bend after hitting the shield, after that they go back to being straight, explosions and physical force are common for lasers in fiction.

i think it works as light speed based on the rest, it was even eatem by a plant mosnter and they said is because it was sunlight

They still didn't travel in straight lines, or reflect in a realistic manner when they hit the shield
explosions and physical force are common for lasers in fiction.
Several CRTs and/or discussions rejected attacks for being lightspeed or realistic light because of this

Aren't some beams of light still accepted even though they're shown to push people back?

I mean, I do get the disqualifiers for when somethings are not a beam of light, but this "It is tangible and can be interacted with physically by normal humans" part confuses me

They don't really have to, that would be 2 criterias, moving at straight line and reflecting realistically, the most notable one, naturally moving in a straight line, is checked.

Considering they moved in straight lines after being reflected, i think the intention was that they deflect realistically but it would be hard to have them fly at the others like that.

Also, looking at the wikis, the pirate there seems to have magnetic powers, and he used it to get his shield, does he shield ever show any supernatural properties in battle

They are still explicitly shown on-screen as reflecting off the shield in an unrealistic manner by bending and curving when they aren't supposed to. Besides, all the other characters were behind BBB and Vargoba, whereas the beams curve and travel in the opposite direction after reflection

Not really.

Holy Shonen Trinity

Old Forums are dead bruh, they got deleted by Fandom.

Then we had to delete that godawful Discussions Forum because it didn't do the job even close to the level of the old Forums.
What exactly is the holy shounen trinity?

I know they got axed by fandom but I personally preferred the old.

Then they should not be, because those requirements were straight up axed during the HST revision days back when the old forums were still a thing.
Not sure, but do you remember that thread where they did actually axed those requirements? We might need a thread to clarify those standards and make sure that is actually what did happened back during HST revisions and reminder I was in VSW since 2017 so I honestly can not remember if that was the case

What could this be implying? In what way?

So like if a light attack destroys for example rocks it's not a disqualifier?
Pretty much. A beam destroying shit isn't a disqualifier at all as long as it satisfies at least two of the requirements (Reflection, Refraction, being called a beam of light, said to be consisting purely of photons or to be a beam purely made of light, originating from a realistic source like a camera or the Sun, or being called speed of light by reliable sources).

I guess, but these requirements are brought up
Haven't seen this one yet.

This one I had active input in when the CRT went through and DCEU lightspeed was shot down, but beams being able to destroy shit was not a valid disqualifier, and it was later removed as a disqualifier, but still had other factors that made it not qualify, like Superman having complete control over his beams and it not really being a "beam of red light" but rather a "blast of energy" and stuff.

even by staff, so I'm confused
Then this is incorrect. Many verses employ beams that are pure light, have direct light-speed statements and still explode.

The page did say that "Should there be great evidence in favor of the light being real or lightspeed, comparably minor showing against it being real can be overruled", so maybe that's why? Idk enough about this subject 💀

This is not a full list of qualities that can qualify/disqualify a feat as a true laser/light beam, but they are what is taken as basic by this wiki.

In all cases, when light beam feats pop-up, they must be discussed with the staff before implementation.”

Btw, if you read the top part more closely, it does have this mention too.

Then it should be in mind so we can fully understand it.

Explosions can be used as supplementary evidence to disregard something as a laser, but it can't be the sole piece of evidence as the disqualifier.

It's what the minor sentence note is about regarding not listing everything that does and doesn't qualify as a laser.
So do the attacks qualify as realistic light or not?

I mean, that's more for the supporters to weigh in on. Just that the current evidence is mostly that its based on sunlight, while its on screen depictions show that it doesn't behave like light all that much.
