I think Matthew makes a fair point about the profile.

I made a Discretio Template and it is welcome to be edit.

Well, in any case, Profiles like Demonbane, and some Masadaverse are from adult games so we can't have a double standard on the profiles made.

We also have profiles from Berserk as well.

In any case, if this proposal gets accepted these pages would get the tags as well.

This might be fine to implement but, the profiles are generally kept free from any titillating, disturbing, or gory material so I am not sure if this is even that necessary.

As long, it is to our standard I think it fine. I don't there ever has a profile like this at all. I think profiles like those above from masadaverse, Berserk, and DemonBanes are the correct standard.

Yeah. If I hadn't been exposed to too many ***** jokes I wouldn't have even noticed anything in Saikou's pic.

I strongly disagree. We don't need this, never did, never will.

Demonbane and Dies irae have 15+ versions. Nothing vulgar is even posted in their profiles. We hardly even have actual nudity in the first place.

We are all ages by technicality only, as it is required by law for Fandom to classify us as such. They don't even heavily enforce it and they've said so themselves on this very site at least twice.

How about we freaking put a "13+ warning" on the front page like other wikis instead of a manually added template? There's always simple solutions to these problems.

This has gotten way passed ridiculous a long time ago.

VSBW is only "all ages" '''by law'''. That's something the bureaucrats should know by default.

The Terms of Use apply to members (us) only. The all ages thing is something that applies to US websites, it's required by US law. If you create an English wiki they literally tell you this.

These Terms of Use apply to registered users and non-registered users alike.

From fandom term of service

I mean casual visitors to the site. There is nothing that states a 10 year old can't visit this wiki. Registered/non-registered users (those with usernames or those who have edited a page on wikis with unlocked pages) are those whom the TOU apply to.

At any rate I agree that perhaps characters like Mara from SMT (who is literally shaped like an erect phallus) would probably require a template, but I am vehemently opposed to using said template for Fate, Dies irae, Demonbane, High School DxD, To Love Ru etc. There's nothing eroge or even ecchi on those pages. This includes gore too as there shouldn't be any excessive gore shown in the first place and their feats shouldn't be explained in graphic detail as well.

Let's not start projecting and acting as their status as having sexual and/or violent themes is harmful to the purpose of this site, which is just to index their power levels and give a very brief summary about their character.

Okay, but if a 10 year old goes and accesses Pornhub, that's the responsability of the child's parents, and not the website. Even +18 websites only put a warning on the opening page which you can move through with a click.

Fandom as a whole is a +13 websites with some exceptions, which usually have +18 warnings when you enter.

Nevertheless, as I prove with the SMT examples, there is a lot which you contextually get away in Fandom depending on the context. Our wiki is +13. Having a generic "Mature Content" warning for some pages wouldn't change much.

The point isn't to allow full-frontal nudity or graphic depictions of sex pages, as that isn't allowed eve on the +18 wikis. What this warning would serve was to make the wiki as a whole more comfortable with featuring certain series and works which contai content that isn't suited for younger viewers.

It wouldn't be overused, it wouldn't change the wiki in any bad way, and ultimately would actually make some things better.

My whole point here is that none of our pages for said verses even have anything on their pages that requires a mature template marking.

There's h-scenes of Saber in the original visual novel of Fate Stay Night and Fate Hollow Ataraxia but we don't feature any scans of those scenes nor even reference it on Saber's page. Therefore, there is no 17+ content on her page. There are also extemely few examples on this site that would require such anyway by virtue of the character's appearance, such as the case with Mara or something else we cannot control. But not mark it because "it has h-scenes or excessive ecchi in the verse".

Using that logic, we'd have to mark everything because a certain rule teaches us there is hentai of almost everything on the internet. The bulk of which may make the average person uncomfortable.

Seems kinda unnecessary for sexual content, but perhaps it can be used for potentially offensive profiles. I put a warning on the profile I made for Thunder McQuee because the profile heavily revolves around suicide, so perhaps it can be used for situations like that

We are definitely not doing that and there shouldn't even be a warning for that on any profile. That's the equivalent of marking any character based on a religious figure or an infamous real life figure like Hitler. At some point we have to consider people that choose to be offended.

No, the rule is that we, you know, actual living human beings, cannot ask someone to help us commit suicide or tell someone to commit suicide. That rule has nothing to do with fictional characters.

I agree with the possibility of needing a template but I also agree with Sera about them only being used for the most extreme examples.

I am mostly with Sera regarding this.

It is fine to feature disturbing characters, or ones from works that contain some sexual content (as long as this is not their main purpose), if there are no images within the pages that actually depict this. I have made an effort to try to remove such pictures when I have noticed.

Fandom has also made it very clear to me that they will not accept any remotely pornographic images, and certainly not any gore, so the people who upload such images risk to be banned by them if it is noticed.

To stay on the safe side, summary sections text segments that go indepth with depicting murder, rape, and torture should obviously also be avoided.

Yes, nukige content, which is 95% explicit and 5% feats at most, is definitely out of the equation, always has been.

Well, maybe excessive or detailed instances of torture (unless that's what you mean). Like, there should be nothing wrong with Frieza punching Vegeta multiple times in the back while chocking him with his tail. It's torture, but not anything excessive or severe.

Also, I am not sure if a warning template is necessary, given that we have been pretty good at cleaning up anything potentially disturbing.

Mm hm. The only instance I can think of where it may be necessary are characters and objects shaped like a phallus. But even then I think it's a bit much.

Yes, we are trying our best to not be controversial, and keep everything neat and tidy.

That said, the verses with unreliable statistics, such as Marvel, are obviously not helping in that regard.

I'm neutral regarding this, but I vaguely recall The Great Mighty Poo profile being deleted due to being "inappropriate." Which I can understand that, but I personally don't think that a monster made of feces is that disturbing compared to some of the characters who do exist on the site; such as the Demonbane characters mentioned above. And similar creatures even exist in child friendly franchises. Earthbound for example is an E-rated game where both a vomit monster and a fertilizer monster exist.

Well, there is no way to feature a proper profile for a monster made of feces without displaying an image of the feces in question.
