We like the ending, and we are saying that it better still be canon seeing as TRI has not given us any details on the 02 cast ever since they got curbstomped by Alphamon, nor implies that the ending we see in 02 is still canon.Reppuzan said:

A lot of people are theorizing they're dead, killed by Alphamon. The last we see of them, they were all silhouetted, face down in a dark-red environment, which probably symbolizes death. If they are dead, I find it insulting that not only was their death shown via scene-transitions, but that no one seems to care. They question where the 02 kids are, like, twice, never again. If they're embarking on such a massive quest, you'd think they'd make an attempt to meet up with them at some point, it's not like they saved the universe at one point.Js250476 said:

Also, now that I think of it, why isn't Seraphimon the arch rival to Lucemon? Or wouldn't a Michaelmon make more sense? Susanoomon is out of left field, now that I think about it.

@Cal I always found that weird too. His rival is Daemon, who to be fair, was one of the strongest Demon Lords until fairly recent times when they made Lucemon the end all, be all.

Don't forget Beelzemon, whose based off Beelzebub, which is synonymous with Satan for most people (despite being a different entity). On a side note, I remember watching a Blameitonjorge video where they said VenonMyotismon was the Digimon equivalent of Satan.

Adventyre/02 and Tamers are rhe most well kniwn parts of rhe feanhise but rhey're also the least faithful adaptions of the lore.

VenomMyotismon is only Satanic is design. He's a Vampiric beast.
Also, people forget MaloMyotismon is based on Belial, another Demon. i believe a demon from the book of Goetia. I may be wrong tho.
Also Murmukusmon is based on the Goetia demon Murmur.
Ironically, Myotismon is not the Dracula Digimon. While he does have the iconic Dracula design.
Dracmon is the true Dracula Digimon.

I wouldn't say Adventure or 02 were necessarily unfaithful, more so the lore wasn't well developed back then. Most Digimon descriptions back then blended together, virtually every Digimon was said to be the "strongest Digimon" or "most powerful Digimon" in some way and the abilities were typically fairly basic.
Tamers was trying to do its own thing, which is why it doesn't really follow the lore based narrative at all. I mean, Adventure was a cartoon franchise in Tamers, Takato was a weeb to made his own Digimon OCs for crying out loud.
By the way, in the Xros Wars crossover, did Takato ever mention to Taichi how he's just a cartoon character where he's from?
