DC Verse Page Splitting: Help Needed!

So essentially, DC Comics' verse page lists completely unrelated verses to DC's mainline continuity, namely characters from Fables, Watchmen, WildStorm, Preacher, Unwritten, Transmetropolitan, V for Vendetta, Seekers into Mystery, Fox Comics and Quality Comics.

This is clearly problematic as these verses' supporter section is COMPLETELY unrepresented amongst the larger DC supporter pool, who very well can be concerned only for mainline DC continuity and have very well never read these verses. Alongside that, it leaves these verses into somewhat of an obscurity, as many don't even associate these properties with DC Comics to begin with, and as such will NEVER know where to look.

So what we need to do, is make new verse pages for them. This way all the above problems will be fixed. It's a solution with only upsides.

I can help out and make a few verse pages, though they might be barebones since the onlly ones I have experience with is Quality and WildStorm.

The Watchmen and WildStorm characters who notably interact with mainline DC should stay on the verse page, right? That would be Rorschach, Rorschach II, Apollo, Majestros, and Captain Atom I believe.

What about characters who were later adapted? Like Blue Beatle and Jenny Quantum. Do they get listed?

Blue Beetle is currently a part of the main DC Comics canon, so the integrated version of the character should at least preferably get listed. I am not sure if we should create a separate verse page for the Steve Ditko era Charlton characters, but the Midnighter, Apollo, and similar characters that were added to the DC Comics continuity should probably be listed with separate profile pages for their Wildstorm and DC Comics eras.

Yeah, just make separated pages for those verses, it also looks ugly and messy to have all those distinct series gobble up in a single verse page.

How do we treat Watchmen characters overall? Like Manhattan's most ap and stuff comes from DC comics and is an important figure in the verse.

I think that we may have to list links to them in both a separate Watchmen verse page and the regular DC Comics one, but am not certain.

My compromse was to put them on both. On the Watchmen ppage, we can use gallery images from the Watchmen, and the DC page can use them for after they were acquired, like during Doomsday Clock.

i see, i see. that would make sense.

I will take watchmen then. Gonna do that today. And some more on Thursday. Hella busy tomorrow

Also should we just merge the movie and comic watchmen into one verse page?
That may be easiest, given how closely related the stories are. I think that we do so with (the awful Garth Ennis story) "The Boys" as well.

I just realised we don't have movie files anymore. I remember seeing doc manhattan a long time ago but can't find it rn

I'd like to help, but I know pretty much nothing about any of the mentioned verses.

You don't necessarily need to be an expert for the verses to make the verse pages for the record, surface level familiarity should be enough :y

And that's Watchmen done.

Should I make a template for the DC verse? Like we have for Marvel?

Here is the code so far;

style="color: white; background-color:#046FB1" | <center> Articles about <span style="color:white">DC</span> </center>
Comics
Mainstream • Watchmen
Shows
Justice League Action
Movies
DC Extended Universe
Games
Arkham series

<noinclude></noinclude>

And that's Watchmen done.

I mean, we don't list stuff like Rise of Ultraman and Star Wars comics for Marvel's side, so mehhh

Would any of you be willing to help out here as well?
What exactly needs to be done? It seems like Imp's proposal is already worked out and everything.

Oh wait, different threads. I guess when I get the free time I can help make separate sections for mostly unrelated universes.

Thank you for helping out.

What other thread are you referring to?

Ill make a page for The Unwritten assuming Sandman doesnt step in to do it instead (If they do ill obviously let them do it).

I can help out with Preacher and V for Vendetta, tho it will take some time until I have access to a computer (I’m on vacation rn). If anyone wants to create the pages before January 12th, let me know

It's fine I'm joking.

I think Qawsedf might've been confused this with the first DC Verse Page revision.
Okay. No problem.
