Given that DC Comics seems to be set to merge the Post-Crisis and Post-Flashpoint continuities, do you have any suggestions for how we should practically handle it?

Should we merge the Post-Flashpoint profiles and statistics into the Post-Crisis profiles (by keeping whichever statistics that have the higher ratings naturally), or handle it in some other manner? Or is it best to wait and see for at least a few months more?

Btw: I personally approve of reestablishing much of the Post-Crisis continuity, but DC Comics are technically being extremely mean to the staff of their Fandom wiki, who likely throw up their hands in the air at this point.

Sounds good to me. An alternative would be one page with keys for the two, but I think it'd be much better to just merge the pages and using the highest showings.

For Superman, I have already inserted Rebirth and Reborn pics to his Post-Crisis character. It was revealed that Post Flashpoint Superman was only half of his self. I believe that similar fusions are going to happen with everyone else.

Okay. So should we delete the Post-Flashpoint Superman profile to start with, and wait and see with the others?

No, of course not. Don't delete a character's profile. Just because you don't like him, and he's now merged with another character, doesn't mean he never existed nor has his own story, design, feats, etc.

Okay then. Although it is not about me not liking him. I just wonder if the profile is redundant.

I haven't been following the Rebirth continuity outside of Superman that closely, but are you all sure that every Post-Crisis and Post-Flashpoint character merged? I understand that it happened for Superman and Lois, but I don't see anything about it happening to Supergirl for example.

No, they haven't merge. I THINK they'll merge after they face Dr.Manhattan and a likely Cosmic Retcon follows. It was Manhattan who screwed with the DCU following Flashpoint, removing 10 years of history and rewriting origins.

Well, either Doctor Manhattan or some other unknown character. They haven't shown him outright, and may be doing symbolic teasing.

It severely offends Alan Moore to use Doctor Manhattan after all, but he won't write anything for DC Comics anyway, so they may not care, and Watchmen's deconstruction of the superhero genre is what started to inspire other writers to inappropriately follow suit within the regular superhero books themselves.

Hence, it holds heavy important symbolism to use Doctor Manhattan for this purpose withim the story.

Yeah, they are using Manhattan as the villain since Rebirth is meant to be a return of Hope and traditional superheroes in contrast to darkness and violent anti-heroes.
