Botw canon Hyrule size... Maybe

I'm talking canonically, this was mostly out of curiosity.

I of course looked it up and found these:

1. https://www.reddit.com/r/Breath_of_the_Wild/comments/6tx7ep/calculations_about_botws_map_size/

2. https://www.reddit.com/r/NintendoSwitch/comments/5w55og/zelda_botw_is_approximately_14_the_size_of/

The first one gives us 72 sq km.

The second gives us 8.3 sq miles, or 21.4969 sq km.

Now, while the first one is the most likely to give us the in-game map, I feel that it is the second one that provides the key to get the canon size. The method of finding how long it takes to jog across the map and by equating that to avg human speeds, we can find the size of the map. However, I propose that we use the in-game clock as the amount of time it takes.

I've always seen Hyrule as bigger than the map, this was aided by the fact that going by the gliding minigame, it takes Link 45 in-game minutes to glide 450 m, (less actually according to the first method). Thats about avg human jogging speed, when gliding is roughly the same speed as Link's sprint.

The second method found that it took 28 min to go N/S and 33 min to go W/E (as I'm finding the entirety of Hyrule I will not be including the .90 multiplier).

One real-time min = one hour in-game.

I will be using the avg, human jog at 6 mph/ 9.65606 km/h.

And so we have:

9.65606 * 28 = 270.36968

9.65606 * 33 = 318.64998

multiply the two and we get: 86153.293124606 square km

A bit bigger than Utah. I'm also pretty sure this is an incredibly low end.

Like I said, I don't know if this is useful.

It's currently useless, unfortunately.

The 6-B feat uses the horizon

The High 6-B feat uses the horizon, too.

The 6-A feat, I have no idea, but it's from SS, where the kingdom of Hyrule didn't exist yet.

And then we have the High 5-A feat.

It seems right, even though a bit low-end. Maybe it's possible to calculate it via using the minimum distance to permit the Hebra Mountains to remain cold despite being relatively close to Death Mountain?

Holding Hyrule to real world geographical requirements is a bit ridiculous when you have areas like Lanaryu mountain and that random cold area on the Great Plateau

You mean more ridiculous than living rocks, fish and bird humans and desert amazons ovo?

Jokes aside, it's the only idea I have. If that can't be used, I have no other idea to calculate it.

Eh, there are no feats that scale to it iirc, I wasn't actually sure if I shouldn't have put this on the fun and board. Yeah, Hyrule would actually be a terrifying place to live.
