We don't give npi to people able to turn sand to glass or that can soak it, also the sand manip page explicitly mention that ice manip is a weakness of it and turn it in solid:

I'm fine with removing the elemental part of her enhanced NPI given this reasoning.

The page however make it look as normal thread object, with the only supernatural exceptions mentioned being powers that manipulate abstract or conceptual threads like the red string of fate (noted as the Red String Manipulation type under the types section), so I'm uncertain if energy constructs that look like threads qualify for the ability.

It would, the composition of the object doesn't matter if it looks like and acts like threads would, be it physical threads create from cloth, abstract threads created from fate or energy threads created through someone's energy, all of them would fall under Thread Manipulation.

You're not actually reading the page. it specifically states "The ability to manipulate threads or strings. User can create, shape and manipulate threads and string, long, thin and flexible form of material, shaping and combining them as needed, or moving them with telekinesis"

Well since i've got the approval of 2 mods, a large number of approvals from non-mods and very little contentions remaining, i'm going to start adding these changes to the profiles now.
