I can possibly cut the line of sight as Pride has a habit of attacking people while hiding and Purity doesn't really have any tracking abilities. This then becomes an attrition match to see if he can last long enough until night fallsIsn't Purity like, an actual direct counter. Pride's shadows retreat/dissolve in the face of bright light, and Purity's beams are kinetically charged light, with Purity herself cloaked in light that's bright enough that you can't look at her directly or see any of her features. Pride literally may not even be able to attack her. But even if you assumed he could for whatever reason, pretty sure Purity's beams are big enough to engulf people, so not even Pride's regen will help because the Stone just gets destroyed too by the starting beam that engulfs him with its ~9x AP advantage and SoL attack speed
Even so, couldn't Purity just start leveling buildings from the sky until she finds the one with Pride in it? Also, if it gets to the point of attrition, can't Purity just leave and come back the next day?I can possibly cut the line of sight as Pride has a habit of attacking people while hiding and Purity doesn't really have any tracking abilities. If I recall correctly, SBA does prevent thatAlso, if it gets to the point of attrition, can't Purity just leave and come back the next day?
State of mind: In character, but will attempt to win the battle. Characters will not give up of their own accord. That means a character that is uninterested or sees no chance of winning won't simply leave and characters wouldn't simply become friends with each other.
Is that in-character? Also rubble is still a pretty good hiding spot most of the time. Not to mention arguments of outranging as Pride does know the layout of the fight's location pretty well while also having a range advantageEven so, couldn't Purity just start leveling buildings from the sky until she finds the one with Pride in it?
So here's the thing, Pride isn't powered by dark. In fact it's actually disadvantageous for him to be in complete darkness as there won't be any shadows cast for him to manipulate (Check his weakness section).(Also by SBA shouldn't it be both night and day at once? Because Purity gets stronger from absorbing light, and from what I can tell, Pride gets stronger in the dark)
FairIf I recall correctly, SBA does prevent that
When her identity gets revealed to the public, she starts flying around leveling buildings. Here, if you want to read it, and she does it several other times in that arc.Is that in-character?
Also fairAlso rubble is still a pretty good hiding spot most of the time.
Can his shadows reach that high into the air though? Not to mention arguments of outranging as Pride does know the layout of the fight's location pretty well while also having a range advantage
So, would Pride even gain that much of an advantage by waiting for night then? If they both aren't using their powers, it would be an athletic adult woman against a small childSo here's the thing, Pride isn't powered by dark. In fact it's actually disadvantageous for him to be in complete darkness as there won't be any shadows cast for him to manipulate (Check his weakness section).
But there is still the issue of Purity constantly emitting bright light, which from what I understand would suppress Pride's shadowsAlso Pride can very much fight in the day, without having to worry about his shadows getting suppressed (I'm pretty sure Brotherhood is pretty accurate to the manga but don't quote me on that)
So unless the fight happens under that specific circumstance or if she's pushed enough, she won't do it.When her identity gets revealed to the public, she starts flying around leveling buildings. Here, if you want to read it, and she does it several other times in that arc.
They're at least Kilometers in range so yes.Can his shadows reach that high into the air though?
Pride has 8-C durability even without his shadows and his shadows are 7-C against most attacks. Pride won't lose his power unless it's completely pitch black. That's how you counter him, either absolute brightness or absolute darkness. He does have way higher stamina than Purity though and being forced to constantly use her powers at night time when there's no sunlight means she won't be able to recharge her internal battery. So, would Pride even gain that much of an advantage by waiting for night then? If they both aren't using their powers, it would be an athletic adult woman against a small child
Yeah, they both oneshot each other. One point I would like to mention against Purity is that she only has Human level dura, so if Pride gets even one hit in with the shadows Purity is turned into a fine paste
Purity does have a pretty solid AP advantage though (~9.6x unless I'm looking at the wrong feats)
If Pride is hiding and she doesn't know where he is, isn't it just logical to start leveling buildings? And I mean, she's fighting for her life here, she has no reason to hold backSo unless the fight happens under that specific circumstance or if she's pushed enough, she won't do it.
Aight cool, I was just asking because sometimes range is based on area of effect or whatever and doesn't correlate to being able to reach highThey're at least Kilometers in range so yes.
Given that his shadows get dispelled with flashes of bright light, I don't think they'll work for defense against Purity's attacksPride has 8-C durability even without his shadows and his shadows are 7-C against most attacks.
Ok, thanks for the clarificationPride won't lose his power unless it's completely pitch black. That's how you counter him, either absolute brightness or absolute darkness.
Again though, shouldn't it be constantly day because of the SBA thing? Or am I just way off baseHe does have way higher stamina than Purity though and being forced to constantly use her powers at night time when there's no sunlight means she won't be able to recharge her internal battery.
So really, the question is whether Pride can stall the fight out long enough to where Purity runs out of energy and can't use her power. If they start with line of site, I don't think that's possible because Purity has SoL attack speed. If not, then I'm not really sure, but leaning towards PrideYeah, they both oneshot each other.
It's only possibly so pretty sure we don't count itEven if Purity is a hard counter Pride has small town level AP
We do unless OP specifies otherwise. Either way, it wouldn't matter. It's only possibly so pretty sure we don't count it
Indeed. Both one-shot each other regardlessWe do unless OP specifies otherwise. Either way, it wouldn't matter.
Assuming they start without line of sight then yeah, Pride just camps till she falls asleep or something.Voting Pride. Purity can't do a whole lot to locate him before she runs out of stamina and gets pasted.
Guess I'll count this thenVoting Pride. Purity can't do a whole lot to locate him before she runs out of stamina and gets pasted.
Is this a vote?Assuming they start without line of sight then yeah, Pride just camps till she falls asleep or something.
Yes.Guess I'll count this then
