Armored Vehicle Durability

How do I find the durability of armored vehicles such as tanks? Is ther a way to calculate the armor's strength?

There will be tests out there that can tell the AP of anti-tank shells. Using one of them, I was able to calulate that an anti-Abrams M1 shell has a muzzle force of 12,090,125 joules. That tells me that the tank itself would have a durability of about the same, i.e. Wall Level.

This was my calculation

The shell is a 10 kg depleted uranium penetrator fired at 1555 m/s, giving it a muzzle energy of 12,090,125 joules.
