angsizing question

I have a question about angsizing, does it work both ways? meaning can you calc the size of something either they are close or far away?

Okay, I was doing a Horizon calcing for a feat that reached all the way to furthest mountains (distance 55273.28 meters) and it exploded in a large fashion, from the height of the oberver (239.5 meters)
