Alien Earth Terraformers (a gem versus a spaceship)

"An Agate terrifies, a Lapis terraforms!" ~ Yellow Diamond

"Thanks for purchasing a Colony Incredi-Pak." ~ some alien shopkeeper

Lapis Lazuli: This battle is not using the Lapis of the Crystal Gems; instead, this is a generic Homeworld Lapis, but assuming she has the same powers as our Lapis back home. Has access to most of Earth's surface water (battle takes place in orbit).

SPORE Spaceship: Has full arsenal, full health, and nearly full energy (after recharging at a nearby allied star system).

Speed equal.

Location: Outer space, near Earth with an altitude of 500 kilometers. Starting range 2 kilometers. Thousands of years in the past.

Story:

The Gems had just arrived at a water-covered planet in a spiral galaxy during the infancy of a tribal race of organics on the planet. This particular planet didn't have many of the useful materials for creating Gems, but it's the one colony that Pink Diamond was allowed to have, so it will do. The Prime Kindergarten had already been established. Terraforming had begun. All organic life would inevitably die out when the planet gets hollowed out in harvesting Gem-creating resources. Near the positive end of the planet's magnetic field, on one of the largest continents which is connected to a receding land bridge, the Gems were going to construct the Geode to house the pocket dimension containing the links between all the soon to be constructed warp pads across the planet's surface, said pocket dimension resembling a storm. This is a delicate yet dangerous structure that must be isolated from the the rest of the planet, so a single Lapis Lazuli was tasked with using water to level a several hundred kilometer wide moat into the large continent, which will surround the island holding the Geode in the center of the continent. Just as she was about to carry out her assignment, when she lifted some water out of the closest ocean, a strange laser beam briefly hits the area nearby where the water was being pulled, causing a ton of water to be evaporated for hundreds of kilometers around it. She looks to her left and sees some sort of strange spacecraft, high in orbit along with her. It doesn't seem to be a Gem ship, and she becomes afraid that Pink's colony has visitors... She sees what the ship was capable of when it shot the laser. Even if pulling up the oceans to defend herself would get her shattered by her superiors, she's willing to do whatever it takes to protect the new colony from this unknown threat.

The captain was doing some exploration to the far ends of the spiral arm galaxy that he could call home. He made it to the opposite end from his homeworld, down one arm of the galaxy that had a small gap in it. As the gravity wells got less complex, he could navigate the stars more easily, and it was a more "quiet" end of the galaxy as allied civilizations would call it. Nearing the end of the galaxy, his energy was getting low. He decided it would be more worth it in the long run if he allies one of the civilizations in the area and pays for a recharge, rather than using one of his energy packs. After completing a Galactic Adventure at a nearby star and beaming back up to his ship, the race that assigned the mission was on better terms with him and they lowered the price on his recharge. He decided it would be best to leave a colony in this part of the galaxy to expand his empire's horizons. He already had several Colony Incredi-Paks on him. He began to explore the star systems nearby the new allies. It wasn't long before he found a yellow star with several gas giants and several rocky planets... One of which immediately caught his attention. A planet with blue oceans, cyan skies, and green land. He had never seen land patterns so unique before. It had a terrascore of 3. It was a luscious vegetation oasis that supported complex life. Said vegetation, on closer inspection, is what made the land look mostly green. When he got close to the surface, he noticed the tribes of a bipedal species. Galactic law states that you can't colonize a system that already has intelligent life, unless you eradicate said life. He's done it before against pre-industrial civilizations and is willing to do it again in order to have a colony so far out from his homeworld. Besides that, only downfall was that the planet had yellow spice geysers. In most places, yellow spice isn't very economically valuable. He would prefer to colonize a purple spice planet instead. But that can wait since this planet would be such an easy picking due to already being T3; practically no terraforming is needed and already T3 purple spice planets are rare. Converting any planet to T3 would usually require resources from a nearby colony, so he should set one up here first. There is one thing that can be terraformed here, however. His species prefers a slightly drier and hotter climate than what is seen on this planet. He decides to make future life here somewhat easier when he enters orbit to fire his Heat Ray at one of the oceans. He figured he could hit two Mupid Staggies with one stone, since the climate change may kill off the tribal race on the planet. Just then he noticed water strangely being pulled from the surface. He pointed the ship's cameras at where the water was going to, only to see a blue spec in the distance. He enhances the image to see it's a person with watery wings. Bewildered, he attempts to establish contact with his SETI communicator. No response, somewhat unsurprisingly. He assumes that, whatever they are, they're also here to terraform, or do something with that ocean water. He remembers when his race first developed space flight, and during his captain training, there's one thing the world leaders of his home planet taught him that begins to haunt him now. There are many ways to colonize a star system... You could take it by force, but that's bound to create enemies. Well, here's one now. He opens the panel for the ship's weapons bay...

The two terraformers will have to fight over who gets to colonize Earth for their alien race and eventually destroy humanity.

NOTE: I am aware that the main story of SPORE actually takes place a long time after the extinction of humanity, as implied from how, when Steve directs you to the Solar System, Earth seems to be a T1 planet and hardly has any life. The story of this versus battle is that the captain/ship and by extent his race are not the same race that the player controls during the main events of SPORE; instead, it's a different race that existed long before the player's time, instead existing during the early days of humanity, around when the Gems arrived. This is, however, assuming this alien race has all the same equipment on their captain's ship that the player has access to in their Space Stage several eons into the future from this point.

I mean, she's likely high 6-A from being able to pull up all of the ocean water, which might one shot the ship which is only at 6-A dura.

If I remember correctly it takes around a minute to completely boil a planet with the heat ray, but I haven't played SPORE in a long time, meanwhile Lapises seem to be able to manipulate the water's molecules to stand still and have it behave like ice, which would essentially be freezing it, as a method to counter the heat manipulation.

While that certainly might be true, it still wouldn't stop the ship from blasting a hole through the water and then fly through the hole to dodge the attack. Or again, use it's planet buster attack.

While most of that is possible, consider state of mind. The Captain wants to colonize this planet, not destroy it, so he likely wouldn't use the Planet Buster against the blue girl standing in his way. Besides, the payload of the Planet Buster seems to be designed for being launched at an entire planet, and not for focusing on a single combatant target.
