Adding artist credit texts to fan images

This is the official thread for adding artist credit texts to fan images that we use in our character profile pages.

This should be done within the image file pages themselves, rather than the character profile pages, as this can be done by all members, rather than further burdening our staff, and be worded as:

"Attribution: Art by [a link to the artist's official page, for example in Deviantart]."

Help with finding the right fan artists and their home pages and adding credit texts to their images is very appreciated.

This is a good decision. It always kinda bothered me seeing uncredited works, even if they're fanarts.

Should we also add "Colored by" if it's just a coloring of an official art? As this often happens in manga, and IMO colorists still put a lot of effort to make their colorings visually stunning (an example would be Hexamendle and their colorings).

There's a few fanmade renders that MK profiles use. The ones that I can remember at the top of my head are Kronika, Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot's profiles. I don't know where Kronika's render came from, but I do know the rest of them and I can add them if I got time.

Btw I meant to say that I may add the credits to the original artist, not adding new images. The current ones are good as is.

No. In that case you can give credit to the original artist instead if you wish, but we should prioritise fan images first.
